"I'm here... and I am trying to be helpful. I don't control the door.. No-one does really and until then despite anything you might think the best course in my mind would be to relax and enjoy what's new." The small fae girl shrugs a little. "This world can be great fun if you let it... This place especially."
Len sighs. "Ameei, thank you, but we're not here to have fun. We did not come here, wherever we are, by our will, and our purpose is to find Grace and return home. That's what we need help with."
"Smith, you know I'll back you up on anything leading to Grace. What happened to Ameei? She's the only one who seems to know anything helpful around here."
"Smith, this may not be the best idea. From the talk downstairs, if all the creatures from the stories are real, I think this Blackthorne may be . . . well, I was wrong about the collie, but I think it may be dangerous to get near him."
Len looks dissatisfied with the explanation of the Seelie, but changes topic. "What is so interesting about Clearbrook? It's just another town -- nothing really happens there."
"I don't know a great deal but I saw Grace heading this way.. I just didn't know she'd made it through.. I was a little caught up in exploring. I spoke to someone though and she was here for an hour or so before leaving with a Seelie Elf. They're ok if you like law and order so we should be able to track them down."
Len latches on to a point. "You were exploring? You mean, you're not from here -- wherever we are -- either?"
"As for the... well i would say real world but that might cause some upset.. You'll really have to see it for yourself. But i'm happy to guide you.. I did kinda bring you this far and whilst I may be flighty the lovely Len wanted to find Miss Clover and I promised to help him.. and be his friend to."
"Thank you, Miss Ameei," Len says seriously. "Can you tell me anything of Clover? You mention a truce -- does that mean there is danger here?"
Before Redd leaves, Len speaks up. "Would you bring some roast, please?" Though the words are reasonably gracious, the tone is somewhat leaden, as if Len has given up on something.
Len takes a cautious sip of his wine, looks surprised, then takes another sip. Then, as if noticing what's going on around him, we sets down the glass and pays attention to Smith.
Len makes a visible effort to calm himself, and draws a deep breath. "My apologies, ladies, I was quite taken by surprise. But please, where are we? And how do we get home?"
Len stares in shock for a moment, then brings himself to his feet and doffs his hat. He seems to still not know what to say. When he hears Abby behind him, he whirls around. "Abby?! Are you hurt?"
"Ok, you and me, and the pup. What do you need? I'm going to get my armour and weapon. I'll meet you at the exit in a few minutes." Kneeling to pet the dog, "I'll be right back, sweetie."
Smith breaks off into a sprint, headed to the forge to grab his things.
"Right, I'll get my gear. Come on, girl." Len heads to his home to gear up with armor, weapons, and lantern.
"Well, she seems to be the only one of us who understands what's going on. I say we follow -- or if you want to keep an eye on things here, I'll follow."
Ambling over to him, he says shyly: "Is it just me, or is this whole thing a bit weird? I don't have a good feeling about it. Here." Smith points to his stomach. "In my gut, it feels weird. What about you?"
Len looks gratefully at Smith and clasps his hand. "Yes, something is wrong here -- and I think it's about to get worse," he adds, looking at the collie. Len lowers his voice.

"Smith, this is going to sound like I'm crazy, but it's a hunch -- I think somehow this dog is Gracie. Something these travelers did to her."
Len starts to object to the proceeding, but loses his chance in the blur of events.
When the ritual is described, his face darkens. Of the people in the village, he stands alone, looking at no one. Finally, he kneels and plays with the collie a bit.
Len speaks up. "Mr. Stefan? My name is Len Harker; I'm apprenticed to the healer here in Clearbrook. One of our folk, a young woman named Grace Clover, is missing." Len looks down at the collie, then back at Stefan, and continues, "She's petite, dark-haired," he goes on to describe Grace.
"None of the villagers seems to have seen her since she left the healer's late this afternoon. Could you please check with your people to find out if anyone has seen her?"
"Harker, Mr. Foley, Miss Thornton.", he gives a slight bow. "None. Everyone I talk to mentions seeing her with you last. If anything I think she be somewhere in the wood."
"Dawn mentioned she may have run off to the woods. Rose seems to think the travelers have to do with her missing." He gazes at the fire, "If anything I'll be heading into the woods. Hopefully I'll find her there."
Len hesitates, as if trying to decide whether to say something. Finally, he answers, "I think Rose is probably right -- it has to do with the travelers. Before you go back into the woods, would you come with me to talk to them? We need to find their leader."
Wagging her tail the collie happily circles once around Len's legs, watching Bryoni and Dawne go their seperate ways to start asking people where Grace went. Barking once she looks purposefully at Donnell.
"It's almost as if she knows something, isn't it?" Maia observes as she watches the dog curiously, obviously fascinated by it's slightly odd behaviour.
"Yes, she really seems to be listening. Sweet little thing, at any rate."
Have we misplaced Donnell?
