Sophone was briefly trained by Dengaro Voraso at the Dueling Academy. After her father, a merchant, went missing after an expedition organized by Gaedron, Sophone couldn't afford formal training. She was taken in by Trin Silverdust, a Gnome courtesan. Trin had also been wronged by Gaedron, so together they tried to sleep their way to him until her friend was found bruised, eyeless and dead. Realizing sleeping with crime lords was too risky, Sophone found Coin who taught her how to use her small size in combat. Since then she has been hiding from Gaedron, living on the last of her father's money.
