Lang nods at her suggestion. I am not exactly the biggest fan of the Sim rooms, but if that is the best place, I am sure we can figure something out. can the rooms provide the same stuff s the library?

Spotting Lang flying around with a couple of firebirds in some sort of game, Ori waved trying to get his attention.

Lang was having a great time playing the game with his new friends. Even more, he hopes that he can get Phaedra to trust non-firebirds.

As he circles around he suddenly notices Ori waving.

Lang first has a confused look, not initially recognizing the game. but after a moment he recalls something, Its been a long time, I think I remember that game. I never was really good at that game. but I would love to play.

Oh and yes I can fly, maybe not as good as you guys but I can manage.

Lang sat a bit as the two girls talked. looking to Phaedra, ya know what, Sun taught me that having special powers does not make anyone special. I didn't ask you to be friends because of any powers. in fact I had another friend that really had no abilities at all, and I would trust her with my life.

So, Phaedra, you have the same preference of food as Ignace I suppose? he asks her, hoping he did not insult her.

Phaedra sighed and rolled her eyes. "Well, it's not like there's anyone else to talk to. Ignace is still with her family as far as I know after she got called away yesterday. And my brother said it was okay to talk to non-firebirds even though Mama said not to because Mama didn't understand what it would be like here. So I think that counts as permission."

"And being lonely is no excuse for doing a poor job. All that does is teach yourself to do a poor job whenever things aren't going your way," she added, haughtily. "You just have to find a way to not be lonely. Here," she said, reaching in to her pocket and pulling out a small lizard. "See? This is my new pet. He's a salamander, and his name is Cinders. My brother and my cousin helped me get him because I was lonely without them around all the time. You have your monkey friend over there, don't you? So you're not even alone. How silly, forgetting that."

Lang listened to her as she explained her point. You are right. he saya as he resumes his practice but with much better form. as he moves through the forms, thank you, and it ok to be friends with me. when I am done, will you have some breakfast with me?

"I don't know anything about forms, or mastering elements," she sniffed, "but your companion over there says you're doing it wrong. So what's the problem?" she demanded, typically direct in her approach.

Lang jumped a little as Phaedra spoke, taking him by surprise. huh? he first asks but soon is relaxed a bit.

Well, he is right. I guess I am a little distracted. I am used to see Ignace every morning for breakfast. But we haven't really been seeing each other for some time, I guess I kind of miss her.

after a second something dawns on him, wait a sec, since when would you be so interested in what I was doing.

Lang is up as early as he can, making his way to a quiet area to practice his morning kata's

"Hmm." Ori frowned. "So, I have some things in my pockets. And I need to bring them back with me. It's important. They're seeds. A new start, as it were. I was hoping that it wouldn't cause complications. I promised I would help K start a new grove at Avalon."

Lang looks at the seeds, ya know what? If K gave them to you to do this, then they should be just fine. Your relationship with him has to begin with trust.

She looks Ori in the yes, lets give this a try, and I'll help as much as I can. kay?

Lang starts to guide Ori back to her physical form.

On the way back, Ori is quiet. She has a lot to think about. When they get close to where they came in to the spirit world she stops.

"How easy is it to carry something from the spirit world to the real world?" she asked.

Lang stopped, a bit suprised at the question.

after a moment of thought, I, ahhh, I don't know, I never tried. I believe that it's possible, but I don't know how or what would happen.

Lang is a little worried that Ori has something that could be a problem for her to get back.

"Probably," she said uncertainly. "When...we first bonded...we were both so angry. And we both had really good reason to be. But a lot of innocent people got hurt, and that's not okay. I've tried to keep my distance from Kyrtzlkilliv'kk since then. I was afraid of him. Afraid of myself since we're not exactly two separate beings anymore. I think maybe you understand that better than most. I didn't fight when they caged him, and there was a lot of hurt there. Setting him free means accepting parts of myself that I'm not always comfortable with. And the consequences of blindly binding myself to a spirit when I was still a child myself." She stood up and dusted her skirt off. "Thank you for your help, Lang. I don't know how long it would have taken for us to sort things out if you hadn't helped us actually talk to each other."

Lang gives Ori a friendly hug. I'm glad I could help. he then quickly takes a step back after the hug.

Lang is a little lost at what is happening, He quickly tries to force his way through the barrier to be with Ori and her spirit.

Just try and to understand the spirit. Once you are in sync things will much easier. he sayas as he struggles to find a way through.

Ori steps out from where she had been hidden behind a tree and approaches the cage. The nature spirit howled again, a haunting sound full of anger and pain. She put her hand out and gently touched one of the spirit's hands that was gripping the bars and there was a blinding flash of green light. When Lang can see again, there is a giant tangle of vines separating him from Ori and the spirit.

Rubbing his eyes and trying to get his bearings, at first Lang thought he was transported somewhere, but he soon realized he is in the same place.

Sifu Ori, are you alright?, can you hear me. Please be alright.

Lang is starting to sound a little paniced as he tries to find a way past the twisting vines.

The creature wrapped it's large, branchlike hands around the bars of the cage and stared at him sadly, its antlers hitting the top of the cage forcing it to stoop as it stood. It didn't speak, only howled mournfully as it shook the bars.

Lang is very saddened by the spirit's situation.

Ok, you can come meet your spirit Professor. I want to see him free again. but the real key to this prison really rests with you.

Lang was with Ori in the Spirit realm, taking her to actually meet the nature spirit that was connected with her.

Leading her through a forest to the cage that the spirit was imprisoned.

Before getting to close, Lang asks Ori to stay back. and Lang slowly approaches.

He takes a seat on the grass Sit down across from me just like this. He says to Ori.

Ori shrugged and sat down on the grass as instructed.

"Okay, now what?"

Lang sits close to Ori, placing his hands in hers. close your eyes and takes a few deep breaths.

together they sit in silence for a bit. Lang then stands and places his hand on her forehead. now relax, you will feel a slight tingle sensation as your spirit joins mine and we cross over.

A bit longer and Lang then says to her, open your eyes

Ori and Lang are standing in a forest. a tether of silver energy winds its way from each of them into the distance. looking back Ori can see herself still seated beside Lang.

Lang moves ahead, come on, this way, It isn't far. He becons her to follow

She had followed him over to this part of the lawn mostly to give Phaedra and her brother some obviously much needed space. Ori couldn't help but chuckle at what she overheard. "Oh, I'm pretty sure that with all those past lives, you've had a fair few bratty homesick moments. But I think you hit the heart of what's bothering you right there. You and Phaedra are an awful lot alike. People with personalities similar to our own are always the most difficult to get along with. There's no flaws we find so grating as the ones we are most guilty of ourselves."

Lang looks at her a little stern, like Phaedra is hiding something Are you really happy? One thing I find important here at this school, friends are everything.

Lang munches a little of his dinner as he takes a seat. You don't have to answer, But the true answer is what you have to live with. So think about it, Are "you" truly happy. (emphasis on "you")

turning to Phaedra, I do hope everything will be alright. I remember I tried to at first stop the destruction of the sun. I took a trip there with Ignace and that was when I discovered how I helped in its creation. he says, forgetting that Phaedra has no idea about Lang's reincarnation thing.

Phaedra gave him a disdainful look. "Is that what you and Ignace had a fight about? Because you're totally insane?"

Lang gives a little laugh, well to some, I guess I could be, but no. I guess I should explain. You see, I am a reincarnation of Voltair, the firebird that created the sun. Which is also one of Ignace's ancestors.

"Even if I believed that," she said, hands on hips, "which I totally don't, that is just...That's the story you decided to go with? I mean if you're gonna be crazy at least do better than that. Hi, I used to be your great-great-grandfather...wanna be friends? Creepy."

Lang ponders what she said, you know I never thought of that, I guess it does sound kind of creepy. I'm sorry for that.

I thought you guys were in the hall on the way to the cafeteria. As far as I was aware that's where you ran into Ignace and Phaedra, who are present in that scene, yes. You were all on your way to dinner before playtime.

I think things got a little skewed with Grim at the cafeteria, I probably moved us out side after getting our meal to go eat.

I got a little lost myself actually so I went with ephebe's post but I think I mistook outside for actually being outside..

I think I am getting to the point I need one of those Dr. Who memory implant things so all these things can be downloaded directly to my brain so I will never forget.

Lang Bows at Phaedra, I am honored to meet you. he says respectfully.

Lang then turns back to Ignace, I am sorry about before, I have missed your company. Lang says as he walks with them to the Cafeteria.

He offers a hand to Chara, even offering to let her ride on Lang's shoulders if she wants.

Lang smiles at Ignace's acceptance. would you like to introduce me to your friend? he asks hoping to make a pleasant conversation and ease Ignace's anxiety a little.

Ignace and Phaedra were walking down the hall and Ignace stopped when she saw Lang. But then she started walking again.
"Hello," she said stiffly.

Lang paused as she walked by. Ahh, hello, Ignace. he smiled as she walked by.

wait, Do you and your friend want to join us for dinner in the garden? Chara and I with Sun and maybe Sara are going play a game later. I would like for you to join us.

Lang tries to be polite as possible and welcoming. He looks toward Ignace's new friend a bit hoping for an introduction.
