Special Abilities
--------------------
Bardic Performance (standard action, 21 rounds/day) Your performances can create magical effects.
Bardic Performance: Satire -2 (Su) A court bard can use performance to undermine the confidence of enemies who hear it, causing them to take a –1 penalty on attack and damage rolls (minimum 1) and a –1 penalty on saves against fear and charm effects as long as the bard continues performing. This penalty increases by –1 at 5th level and every six levels thereafter. Satire is a language-dependent, mind-affecting ability that uses audible components. This performance replaces inspire courage.
Bardic Performance: Mockery -3 (Su) A court bard of 3rd level or higher can subtly ridicule and defame a specific individual. The bard selects one target who can hear his performance. That individual takes a –2 penalty on Charisma checks and Charisma-related skill checks as long as the bard continues performing. This penalty increases by –1 every four levels after 3rd. Mockery is a language-dependent, mind-affecting ability that relies on audible components. This performance replaces inspire competence.
Change Shape (Su) A kitsune can assume the appearance of a specific single human form of the same sex. The kitsune always takes this specific form when she uses this ability. A kitsune in human form cannot use her bite attack, but gains a +10 racial bonus on Disguise checks made to appear human. Changing shape is a standard action. This ability otherwise functions as alter self, except that the kitsune does not adjust her ability scores and can remain in this form indefinitely.
Dragon Empire Native You come from the Dragon Empires in Golarion, and so your starting languages are Tien and Senzar instead of Common and Sylvan.
Favored Class Bonus: +3 Bluff (lies), Diplomacy (gather information) Add a +1/2 bonus on Bluff checks to lie and a +1/2 bonus on Diplomacy checks to gather information.
Gregarious (Ex) Even among your own kind, your gift for making friends stands out. Whenever you successfully use Diplomacy to win over an individual, that creature takes a –2 penalty to resist any of your Charisma-based skill checks for the next 24 hours. This racial trait replaces agile.
Heraldic Expertise +3 (2/day) (Ex) A court bard gains a bonus equal to half his bard level on Diplomacy, Knowledge (history), Knowledge (local), and Knowledge (nobility) checks (minimum +1). Once per day, the court bard can also reroll a check against one of these skills, though he must take the result of the second roll even if it is worse. He can reroll one additional time per day at 5th level and every five levels thereafter. This ability replaces bardic knowledge.
I Know a Guy The Sczarni are often related to each other, and no matter how distant the kinship, you know that you can rely upon your extended family for information. You gain a +2 trait bonus on Diplomacy checks made to gather information and a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (local) checks.
Kitsune Magic Kitsune add +1 to the DC of any saving throws against enchantment spells that they cast. Kitsune with a Charisma score of 11 or higher gain the following spell-like ability: 3/day—dancing lights (caster level equals the kitsune's level)
Low-Light Vision See twice as far as a human in dim light, distinguishing color and detail.
Tanglevine (CMB +10, 8/day) (Sp) At 1st level, as a standard action, you can create a 15-foot-long, animated vine that springs from your hand. This vine lasts for 1 round and can be used to make a single disarm, steal, or trip combat maneuver, using your sorcerer level plus your Charisma modifier in place of your normal CMB. You can use this power a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier.
Verdant Bloodline Whenever you cast a spell with a range of personal, your skin toughens, granting you a natural armor bonus equal to the spell’s level for 1d4 rounds. This bonus does not stack with any other natural armor bonuses you might have.
Versatile Performance (Comedy) +20 (Ex) You may substitute the final value of your Perform: Comedy skill for Bluff or Intimidate checks
Versatile Performance (Oratory) +20 (Ex) You may substitute the final value of your Perform: Oratory skill for Diplomacy or Sense Motive checks
Wide Audience (+0 targets / 30' radius / 60' cone) (Su) At 5th level, a court bard can choose to affect a 60-foot cone instead of a 30-foot radius with bardic performances that affect an area. In addition, for every five levels beyond 5th, the area of such powers is increased by 10 feet (radius) or 20 feet (cone). If the power instead affects multiple creatures, it affects one additional creature than normal for every five levels beyond 5th. This does not affect powers that affect only a single creature. This ability replaces lore master and jack of all trades.

Boons
--------------------
A Fair Trade (The Wardstone Patrol): Mendev has no shortage of underground markets, and after helping connect Guaril Karela with a few contacts, you’re able to negotiate a good deal with one of the local fences. When you’re in a settlement with 5,000 or more people, you may spend 1 hour to find and negotiate with a fence to exchange any one magic item in your possession worth up to 2,500 gp (5,500 gp in Subtier 6–7) for any other magic item of equal or lesser value normally available for purchase in Pathfinder Society Organized Play. When you use this boon, cross it off of your Chronicle sheet.
Changing Circumstances (The Paths We Choose): As your faction’s focus shifts, you are quick to learn the skills needed to accomplish the evolving goals. You may use this boon at the end of an adventure to replace one of your two starting traits for a faction trait from your faction, though you cannot have more than one faction trait. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet
Dakar’s Ire (The Stranger Within): You failed to uphold your end of a bargain with Dakar, and the wily leader of the Commerce League won’t forget such a slight. In fact, he actively undermines your future deeds in the City of Strangers until you pay off your debt. You take a –2 penalty on all Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks while in Kaer Maga; this penalty increases to –5 when dealing with any member of the Commerce League. In addition, at the start of any meeting with Dakar, he orders his guards to rough you up as a reminder that he still remembers what you owe, dealing 1d6 points of nonlethal damage to you per Hit Die you possess. You can make amends by spending 2 Prestige Points to pay off your debt, after which you must cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet.
Deal from the Pickled Imp (The Stranger Within, Sczarni Faction): You have crippled the rogue Sczarni operations, leaving the survivors scattered but still capable of a desperate counterattack. Guaril Karela trusts that you will be properly equipped for that confrontation. You may use this boon when selling one item to sell it for its full market price rather than at half value. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet.
Debt of the Kirin (First Steps Part 2: To Delve the Dungeon Deep): You possess a series of letters of credit and a trade agreement between any holder of that agreement and a group called the Way of the Kirin.
Friends of the Fey Court (Realm of the Fellnight Queen): Your successful negotiations with the Fey Court near Bellis have gained the good faith of the court. Tales of your exploits travel
across the First World, improving your interactions with other fey. You receive a +2 bonus on Diplomacy checks against creatures of the fey type.
Fool Me Once (Rivalry's End): Grandmaster Torch’s sudden betrayal and subsequent escape have left you questioning the motives of everyone around you—particularly your allies. You gain a +2 bonus on Sense Motive checks against current and former Pathfinders.
Forewarned is Forearmed (You Have What You Hold, Sczarni faction): Whoever is after Guaril Karela has armed, Tymon-trained gladiators at his or her disposal. Knowing this, Guaril hires a few specialists to train you and other faction members to better understand and combat this type of foe. You gain a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made with weapons that have the performance quality.
Impressive Influence (The Blakros Matrimony): During the course of the wedding festivities, you impressed one or more of the guests in attendance. How this influence will play out in the future is not yet clear, but you have nevertheless ingratiated yourself with a number of influential members of the Inner Sea society. [X] Nigel Aldain, [X] Alexander Bedard, [X] Hamaria Blakros, [X] Tancred Desimire, [X] Jeon Raeng-Woo, [X] Rubaani Shafar
Kayle’s Blessing (First Steps Part 3: A Vision of Betrayal): You gain a +1 luck bonus on any saving throw against a dragon’s breath weapon. This bonus can be applied after a roll is made but before the results are determined. You may only use this ability once per saving throw. This ability may be used three times.
Kingpin's Pal (Year of the Risen Rune Sczarni Boon) You helped Guaril Karela take control of the Varisian Sczarni operation. You gain a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks against ethnic Varisians and members of Sczarni families.
Local Connection (The Technic Siege, The Exchange): You know several friendly suppliers in western Garund. When purchasing any single-use item worth 100 gp or less while in the Mwangi Expanse, Rahadoum, Sargava, the Shackles, or the Sodden Lands, you reduce those items’ cost by 10%. You must spend at least part of the adventure in one of these countries to use this boon; it does not apply between adventures, and the discount does not stack with other effects that reduce an item’s price.
Mendevian Commendation (The Wardstone Patrol): You have received a medal for your service to Mendev and the Fifth Crusade. For every Mendevian Commendation you have, you gain a cumulative +1 bonus on Charisma-based skill and ability checks made to influence crusaders of Mendev (maximum +3).
Nascent Notoriety (Skull & Shackles Part 1: The Wormwood Mutiny): Your actions have earned you a modicum of respect on the high seas, and you gain 5 points of Disrepute and 5 points of Infamy. Disrepute behaves in many ways like Prestige Points, allowing you to leverage your reputation to purchase a small number of boons; Prestige Points and Disrepute are not interchangeable unless otherwise noted. Infamy behaves in many ways like Fame, tracking the total number of Disrepute points that you have earned in your career, and you may use you Infamy instead of your Fame when determining the maximum gp value of items purchased from your faction. As you continue your adventures in the Shackles, your Disrepute and Infamy will grow, as will the ways in which you may spend Disrepute.
New Recruits (The Paths We Choose): Your faction’s success enables it to recruit and train new members. You may designate one newly created PC under your Pathfinder Society number who shares your faction as a new recruit. This additional training grants that PC one of the faction’s traits as a bonus trait, though the PC cannot have more than one faction trait. You must include a copy of this Chronicle sheet with the new PC’s records, though that PC gains no additional boons, equipment, or wealth from this Chronicle sheet. Character receiving this boon: TBD; Faction: The Exchange
Old Loyalties (The Paths We Choose): Your faction recognizes your tireless efforts on its behalf. You can use this boon to reduce the Prestige Point cost of a vanity or prestige award by an amount equal to your Fame divided by 10. This cannot reduce the cost of a vanity or award below 0. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet.
Reading the Threads (The Technic Siege): You have had additional time in which to study A Thread of Silver, an incomplete guide to crash sites near Starfall in Numeria. When using the book as a dungeon guide, you increase its accuracy bonus by 1 and gain a +2 competence bonus on optional skill checks made to increase its accuracy further.
Smine’s Best (You Have What You Hold): Following your spectacular performance in the Arena of Aroden, Venture-Captain Holgarin Smine decided to craft a spectacular new weapon (colloquially known as a “Smine”) to commemorate your victory. You may apply this boon to any one weapon made primarily out of metal when you purchase it. Alternatively, you may spend 2 Prestige Points to apply this boon to a pre-existing weapon that the venture-captain modifies for you. When you choose the weapon, record its type below. While wielding that weapon, you gain a +1 bonus on performance combat checks as well as a +1 bonus on Intimidate checks made against creatures proficient with that weapon. In addition, increase the weapon’s hit point total by 5. Weapon: Masterwork Rapier
Unexpected Prestige (Rivalry's End): You captured or killed Grandmaster Torch in Riddleport, and though he may return one day, word of your deed has spread quickly through the Pathfinder Society. The next time you would fail to gain a Prestige Point for completing a primary or secondary mission, you instead gain the Prestige Point and cross this boon off your Chronicle sheet. Expended to get a Prestige Point for By Way of Bloodcove in spite of failing the mission.
Yagevna Family Connection (Frozen Fingers of Midnight): The Yagevna family in Irrisen recognizes you as a close associate for freeing their daughter, Natalya, from her icy prison. When in Irrisen, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on all diplomacy rolls when you mention the Yagevna family and how you assisted them.
You Rescued the Minotaur Prince (Delirium's Tangle): You rescued Nuar Spiritskin, the Minotaur Prince of Absalom and he is quite grateful that you have done so. Though he is absolutely unclear how he got into the Tangle in the first place, he pays this no mind and spreads the tale of your daring-do to his many contacts throughout the city. You gain a permanent +1 circumstance bonus to any Intelligence or Charisma-based checks made while in Absalom.

Goal: The Exchange seeks to rule the markets of the Inner Sea. The Exchange’s board of directors merges the independent wealth of Qadiran merchant-nobility and the resourceful cunning of Sczarni smugglers. There are countless ways to earn a fortune, and the Exchange rewards Pathfinders for any number of them. Not all of the Exchange’s dealings are legal or even honorable. Members of the Exchange often must choose between an aggressive approach and a more reputable one, and those choices help to shape the faction’s practices.
