A woman dressed in typical Qadiran style enters the room and says in a serious voice you called me? As Kasadei explains, next morning I will take a walk. I need you to be close, but unseen. My walk will lead through the shadows, the quarter of the city where the murders have taken place so far. The murderer will probably strike in some alley. Tell me how you want to plan this: you can try disguise, stealth, you can try bluff to make Kyra look more convincing as a target. Describe what you want to do, and roll a check
Kyra runs up to Lymwin, ready to take an Alchemist's fire, should he provide one. The swarm tries to take over Harlynne, but only manages to make her feel queasy. Harlynne only has a move action this turn, I'll assume she uses that to get out of the swarm. The swarm is made of fine creatures, by the way Grim's fiery bottle misses, and sets another part of the museum on fire - still enough to burn the edges of the silvery puddle. Miss direction: 1d8 ⇒ 6 Before Kyra can grab the fire, however, the swarm is onto her Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Kyra stays her ground in the swarm, and channels energy. Channel positive: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 Now, burn the thing! --
Grim, with the aid of Kyra, manages to penetrate the robot's defences (I forgot to apply the +2 last time, so you're getting it now) Damage: 2d8 + 9 ⇒ (7, 7) + 9 = 23 Though not defeated, the robot grinds to a halt from the blow. (It's staggered this round) Kyra again tries to aid Grim, trying to draw a reflexive manoeuvre by jabbing with her scimitar. Use all your force! she shouts. Aid: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15 +2 on Grim's next attack Lymwin is in trouble. She's trying to shake off the swarm in panic, and runs out, forgetting to do anything else. --
For reference
Distraction and Nauseated: Distraction: A creature with this ability can nauseate the creatures that it damages. Any living creature that takes damage from a creature with the distraction ability is nauseated for 1 round; Nauseated:
Burning oil would require two rounds: one to be applied, the other to be lit Grim's attack makes a loud clang on the gearsman, but otherwise leaves it unharmed. You're not the first to say that. Hardness 10 is pretty tough. It does have its vulnerabilities, though. Lymwin then sets the robot on fire (You do realise that there's an entirely flammable second foe in the room, right?) Kyra aids grim in his attacks
The infested Pendleton balkers starts making sound Urgh and seems to be close to resuming movement. The robot moves to douse the flames. ---
Grim brings the fight to the robot, while Harlynne stands back and weaves a summoning spell. Kyra calls forth the blessing of Sarenrae. Bless, +1 to attack and saves The robot sees the advance of Grim, and strikes back with it's electrified spear. Fortunately, the blow is easily dodged. Spear, Grim: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 Pendleton Blakros is still unable to move. Will vs held: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 --
