About Kyle Longsetter
Kyle was born on a backwater planet of Teth, a jungle planet that is a haven for smugglers and other criminals. Unlike many of the inhabitants of Teth, Kyle's family was honest and hard working. Though this got them taken advantage of more then a few times, Kyle never believed that dishonesty was right or even beneficial, his father always telling him "they'll get their comeuppance son."
Despite his love and closeness with his family, Kyle felt bored on Teth, and dreamed of a life of excitement, though he never thought of joining the military like some of his friends. Kyle was never able to swallow authority.
One day Kyle's father was murdered in cold blood for a truly paltry sum of credits, and Kyle had finally had enough of the criminal element. He worked hard for another year to save up enough money to move his mother and sister to Coruscant, where they would be safer, and took up arms as a bounty hunter, tracking down ruthless criminals. He never felt right about hunting mere smugglers or those that scammed faceless entities like corporations, and so tried to take only bounties for murderers, thieves, and con men. But as the Empire changed the face of the galaxy, and cracked down on those that merely disagreed with it, he found more and more bounties based on political basis, and less and less for true criminals. Refusing to hunt what he felt were innocent people, Kyle found himself making less and less money, eventually barely being able to support himself, much less have money to send to his surviving family. He has now found himself returning to the outer rim, out of the influence of the Empire, wandering, trying to find people to help and criminals to track, hoping for a few credits here and there to support his family and himself.
