SPECIAL ABILITIES
Emypreal Bloodline Arcana: Unlike most sorcerers whose innate magic is powered by force of personality, you use pure willpower to master and fuel your magic. You use your Wisdom, rather than your Charisma, to determine all class features and effects relating to your sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, maximum spell level you can cast, and the save DCs of your spells. You gain a +2 bonus on all Heal and Knowledge (religion) checks.
Warped Bloodline Arcana: Whenever you cast a spell of the polymorph subschool, one target of your choice may receive one random effect from the Warped Polymorph Benefits table (see below). This bonus lasts as long as the polymorph effect on the target.

Background: Party of a large family of folk in the River Kingdoms, Kyan never really fit in with them, so he set out for Absalom to seek out some of his old friends. Never the handsomest of folk, Kyan got even uglier when he got a little too close to Tanglebriar and was attacked by a small group of fungoid creatures. When he awoke, he had somehow traveled all the way to western Taldor, regaining his senses upriver from Cassomir.
Checking himself over, he found his homely looks had worsened, showing him further proof that the gods don't care about those descended from their servants. Determined to keep moving regardless of those bastard 'gods', he headed for Cassomir and took the first boat to Absalom.

Recent Activities: Upon reaching Absalom, you sought out Ryko Shineseeker, an elven adventurer you knew who could find a way to make some money with which to start a new life. The two of you teamed up with a man named Refan Moon, a large but friendly mercenary who knew of a cave said to be the entrance to an ancient vault. During the exploration of the cave, the three of you managed to uncover some minor coin and too many cobwebs. In one area, you found a small altar of metal that looked like a control panel. Even though you protested, Ryko touched what appeared to be the main control and it detached from the panel. Almost immediately after, a metal wall covered in strange runes seemed to materialize, sectioning you off in a small chamber by yourself.

After a moment of hearing Refan pounding on the wall, the sound faded away and time seemed to slow down. A faint blue, man-sized shape appeared in front of you and you thought you could hear whispering but couldn't make out the words. Then it rushed toward you and before you could respond, you felt as though you were being torn apart and then you were on your back. Your surroundings had changed to those of a healer's house, your chest throbbed as if it had been opened, and judging by the bandages, it had. You later were told that Ryko had dragged you out of the cave to civilization and have not left his side since, feeling the need to repay the life debt, or at least continue finding adventure. Even after returning to the cave, there has been no sign of Refan. Sometimes you hear the strange whispering and feel itching across the strange scar on your chest, the scar no sage or healer can explain. Your spells and powers have been strengthened by (if not come directly from) this incident - your choice.

Tonight, Ryko has set up a meeting with a woman he calls Surana. You think he may have some kind of crush on the woman, but he maintains that the interest is purely professional.
