Sorry you didn't receive a reply to your question, as I'm a bit baffled by the acceleration/deceleration rules myself. What did you finally wind up doing?

Right, Mythic. More specifically, +2 Wis, +2 Chr, -2 Int. I was surprised that I couldn't find an option for it, so I was wondering what the unbalancing factor there is or how many RP it should cost to implement.

I'm a bit curious as to why there was never an option for a Ability Score Modifier that would give a +2 bonus to two stats of one type and a -2 penalty to the other stat of that type. If there were, what should the RP cost be?

Looking at populations in general, I don't find the diversity of "stats" that are generated by the normal 3d6. The classic dichotomy of course being Jock vs. Nerd, where the Jock is high strength, low intelligence and the Nerd, of course, is vice versa. However, variances in the population *tend* to have one high attribute or one low attribute. Just because you're nimble doesn't tend to make you sickly, nor does having great insight imply that you're a slug. For PCs, I'd like to see ability scores with maybe 1 or 2 med-high scores, and basically the rest be average, with a slim possibility of a low score. Maybe a low score that is randomly determined?

Some good ideas Quijenoth...just so happened we were typing at the same time. I would personally leave Escape Artist separate, giving people who make an opposed Grapple skill check the opportunity to reverse the hold (say if they beat their opponent by like 5 or 10)

Grapple I can see being used in a number of situations:
1) Pick up and drop
2) Pick up and throw
3) Pick up and crush (Yeah...now Giants can do the things they are meant to do)
4) Restrain
I was thinking of Grapple as a skill (and an actual skill that Fighters might actually take). I'm thinking of someone who has been trained in wrestling. The rules, as they are now, presupposes that all characters can grapple fairly equally. I've had some awesome scenes way laid because the grappler just wasn't skilled in grappling and pitting a "grapple check" vs. escape artist is just too easy. If someone has been trained in grappling and restraining, it should be easier for them to accomplish.
In the 3.5 rules, it also seems that the grappler really has no real advantage. (They lose their dex to AC as well) At the very least, if the grapplee is pinned, the grappler should be able to use them as some sort of meat shield. Maybe different "wrestling" maneuvers would have different grappling DCs or DC modifier.

Pile Driver
DC opposed roll + 5
After making a succesful grapple check, you may turn your opponent upside down and slam his head into the ground dealing 1d6 points of damage and is stunned for 1d4 rounds. After this move, your opponent is no longer grappled and both you and your opponent are considered prone.

Meh...just some ideas.

Last time I had characters roll for stats it went:
Start with 6 in each stat
Roll 1d6 6x, assign to a stat
Roll 6d6, buy points with point buy.

I still got some powerful characters out of it and all the characters have low Chr or Wis scores, so maybe next time I have the 1d6 6x be assigned in order of roll, but overall it wasn't too bad.

How about Grappling being a Skill?

It may take a bit for conversion, so I don't know how viable it is...but I've started using a system where Size determines hit dice:
F 1hp
D 1d2
T 1d4
S 1d6
M 1d8
L 1d10
H 1d12
G 1d16 (or 2d8..there are ways to "roll" a 1d16)
C 1d20

And a bonus is received based on class/type:
Original New HP
HD Bonus
1d4 +0
1d6 +1
1d8 +2
1d10 +3
1d12 +4

This seems to work great so far...though it does take a bit of conversion.

pg. 32, Sorceror, One of Us power: reads "At 20th level, you form..." should read "At 20th level, your form...". I'll probably post more as I find them...after all, I'd like you guys to put out the best product possible.

Doh! Yeah...I don't know how I missed it in the MM, for some reason it just slipped past me and then I read on the Wizard's site where it was. Boy...I feel silly....

Is it me, or are there stats for non-advanced rust monsters somewhere? I have #346, but I didn't see any rust monster stats except for O-akasabi-sama. Are they published in another WotC book somewhere?
