I just started a new job with a lot more responsibility so my posting time has been cut down a lot.

Korgun looks out the window, "The Korgun knows them. They travled with the Korgun to this place. They might be able to help you with finding the cure."

In the shop’s rear, a rail-thin woman with severe-looking spectacles and hair pulled back tightly busies herself between an overpacked rack of herbs, a table covered in stray powders and measuring equipment, and a pot loudly

bubbling over with thick gray froth. Over the din of her work and without looking up, the woman impatiently shouts, “And what’s your problem?”

"The Korgun does not have a problem, but is here to help the Laurel with hers. Many are sick here and The Korgun and his friends seek to find the source of the plauge. What can the Laurel tell the Korgun that can help?"

The paladin eyes the halfling that has just wandered up,"Pardon the Korgun, but I do not know you." Without waiting for a response he strides to the herbalists home. He waits in line and watches as the crowd desperatly berates one of their own for drinking the water. Diging in his pack he hands the girl a full waterflask, "Sip this slowly so that you do not have to leave the line agian." He patiently waits in the line for his turn to see the herbalist, but keeps his eye on the strange halfling that just piped up in his conversation with Gambril and Saffron.

"Agreed, The Korgun will meet you at the inn when he is finished speaking with the herbalist. The Korgun is unaware if this illness has already taken lives. The Saffron, will you go with The Gambril or accompany The Korgun?"

"The Korgun thinks we need to find out more about this illness. The Cirthana is the priestess here, but few trust her so The Korgun thinks we should also speak to The Laura, a herbalist others seek a cure from."

Gather Info (1d20+1=19)

DM

Spoiler:

I rolled one for the check to see if I knew what it was and failed so I posted he had "never seen before". Then I rolled for trying to use my skill in a way that could treat her symptoms and give her comfort

The paladin leans down over the ill woman. "This is a foul illness the likes of which the Korgun has never seen before. The Korgun hopes that his skills can comfort her."

Heal Check (1d20 +2=7) to diagnois

Heal Check for treatment (1d20+2=15)

What ever ill's this place we will find the cause and gods willing the Korgun will cure the problem.

Korgun joins them saying, "Iomedae's blessings upon you both, can the Korgun be of any assistance here?

"Let move on."

Things here are very amiss, the Korgun wants to know if the tracks can be followed farther. Can the Saffron or the Gambril pick up the trail here? The half-orc asks his companions.

Korgun will aid in the search.

Perception check (1d20+2=20)

Not sure what happened to everyone, so we'll leap forward...

At the cabin, the girl is laid to rest.

The usually gruff half-orc gently lays the girl into the earth, then soflty prays with each shovel full of dirt to cover the body. Once done he takes a moment to chant an orcish rite of passage to the after life, then he goes in search of the others.

Thomas Thiessen wrote:

There is an old shovel leaning against the cabin. As you start to dig a hole, the shovel feels like it's going to snap.

Con check (DC 10) to dig the grave without becoming exhausted.

The half-orc spends the better part of the morning diging a sutible grave. On the last shovelfull he climbs out of the hole, breathing heavily exausted from the laborous work the harsh terrian proved to be.

Con Check vs DC 10 (1d20=9)

Obviouly irritated by the arival of the dog the half-orc heads off to see if he can find a shovel and start to bury the remains.

Saffron wrote:
Saffron freezes, drawing her weapon and holding still as well. She looks back towards the cabin, "There is apparently a wild dog out here."

Korgun grabs up his double orc axe and prepares for battle.

In case its needed
Inititive (1d20+2=5)

Help the Korgun tend to the lass, she needs a proper burial and then we must press on.

"Danger is about. The Korgun will take the first watch, rest friends."

Korgun feels uneasy as the others search around. He steps to the cabins porch and scans his eyes around the area looking for anyone or thing that may be watching.

Perception (1d20+2=3)

detect evil

Anyone in the cabin, roll a Perception (sight) check.

Perception (1d20+2=8)

Korgun makes a slow and steady search of the cabin looking for clues.

Perception (to search) (1d20+2=7)

IC not in my favor this morning, ick

The half-orc sees the signs of murder and silently vows to see justice done. Unslinging his double axe he steps into the cabin and peers into each darkend corner looking for any indications of evil that remain. "The Korgun will get to the bottom of this."

detect evil as the spell at will

"Bah, this rain bothers the Korgun and a cabins a cabin. The Korgun says we need to keep moving."

I've got the nitty gritty for a half-orc Paladin done. I wont be able to get the backstory and personal detail done until next week.
