About Kogatai Uhaanta

Born among the Tian-la in Hongal on the continent of Tian Xia, Kogatai learned early that shooting arrows from a running steed would not be the future for him. He instead turned to study and discovered a talent for magic; a talent which he pursued enthusiastically. A seeker of knowledge, Kogati embraced the path of the diviner, shunning such unseemly arts as necromancy and what he felt to be the unnecessary flashiness of evocation.

When Kogatai was in his mid 30s, he moved to Katapesh. It was in the great city that he heard the calling of Sarenrae, and the Dawnflower's message of hope and redemption resonated with the young dwarf. Kogatai resolved to act as an agent of the goddess, and to go forth spreading her glory through selflessness. This resolve led him to join the Pathfinder Society, where his thirst for knowledge and his decision to aid those less fortunate than himself could intertwine.

Kogatai dresses in the tunic, trousers, and boots of the Tian-la from his childhood home. The top of his head is shaved, and his neck is shaved up to the top of his ears, leaving a ring of hair along the sides of his head. He braids this hair into two plaits, which he knots behind his ears. His moustaches and beard grow long but are also carefully braided and kept neat. On the middle finger of his right hand rests a jeweled ring, and at his side hangs a battle axe, its hilt, shaft, and blade all forged from a single bar of polished steel.
