About Kimu Zharket
Description
Kimu is a striking half-elf, handsome and well-groomed, tawny and lithe. His melodious voice, which he uses often and depends on for his livelihood, can range from a droning monotony of dirge-like oratory into the highly animated ranges of high drama and farce. His brown eyes are keen with intelligence and wit, and are also capable of expressing great range: from brimming with liveliness in the height of dramatic passion to hardening into vengeful rocks when delivering punishing gazes towards aggressors and enemies, they contribute mightily to his commanding presence.
Background
The love-child of a human poet and a grey elf herbalist, Kimu spent his formative years at the apron-strings and libraries of his mother, a minor journalist and laboring poet who supported herself and Kimu through freelance writing and library work. At a young age, Kimu was immersed in the many worlds presented on written pages and became enamored of the wonders of both written and spoken stories.
As an adolescent, he was introduced to the world of drama and acting through some friends, and during his teens and early adult years, developed his latent talents for dramatic monologues, comedies, and physical humor rooted in tumbling and acrobatics. By his mid-twenties, he was performing in local plays and carnivals, as well as staging dramatic monologues and comedy routines at least once per week in the bustling city of Sothis.
His dramatic and literary talents drew him into the University of Fine Arts and History, where he pursued drama and comedy studies. In his last two years at school, he also rediscovered his love for history, which had lain dormant since before adolescence.
After graduating, Kimu continued to work in the dramatic arts, but gradually began to devote more and more of his free time to researching and studying history. He is fascinated not only by the history of Osirion, but also the dynamic politics and history of the whole of Golarion. Of his own initiative and resources, he has developed a non-academic, yet thoroughly-researched thesis that points to a prelapsarian, pre-historical pacific global civilization of localized cultures living cooperatively together. His research, rejected in most academic circles for its "amateur approach" and radical break from the orthodox views of history, has nevertheless garnered a popular following.
