Kimble Aethanor found himself driven to study magic in the hope of countering his persistent infirmity. What he found instead was an unexpected bond with a being destined to one day shepherd his soul to the afterlife: Shreve, a somber, thoughtful eidolon that does its best to keep its master's bitterness in check. The two are just beginning their adventures together - they have much more ground to cover before they truly understand what each wants and why they were brought together in the first place.

Kimble is a rather negative individual and tends to assume the worst of people. Shreve's passivity often frustrates him, as he feels the eidolon does not exercise enough judgment of its own.
Shreve has been known to show kindness to Kimble despite their strained relationship, attempting to dispel its master's ire whenever it arises.
