About Kichiyou
Tien grew up in a small river-in-the-mountains vilage ran by a ninja clan called "the Red Lotus". Due to the clans dealings w/ sorecery, & the outside world's fear of magick, the clan has kept primarly to themselves, save when hired for contracts, or, called by the Shadow Lodge. However, because of their dabling in the arcane arts, every ninja can perform minor cantrips, by the time they reach 'contractable age'.
In the begining, Tien was content doing jobs for the clan. ..That is, until his older brother Kichiyou decided to join mortal kombat, & ended being killed. Being the good brother he is, Tien saught to avenge the deaths of his brother & his brother's lover, & thus entered the competion. Having succeeded in his goal, as well as winning the competion, his reward was immortality (age-wise).
Returning to his clan once more, he found nothing but desolation, for his clan had been destroyed. Upon a quick search of the area, he knew such was the Decemvorate's doing, but knew he would need 'legal information'. Thus began an extensive investigation.
During his investigation, he found evidence the destruction wa on grounds of being 'rebels against the Decemvorate'. Furthermore, they had kidnaped his true love. Fueled by anger of this aknowledge, Tien fully accepted the ideals of the Shadow Lodge.
Thankfully for him, he wasn't alone, for he had eventually found his trainer, Pan, whom was able to cont his training.
