Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
No worries Gin, all good : ) The hackles rising on the back of his neck, Gal growls softly and puts all of his senses (1d20+6=18) (+2 for sight and sound) on full alert as he glances all around him, making sure to frequently look behind himself as well. His massive great club rests on his shoulder, his grip tight. He is ready to use it at a moments notice. Gall get any info from the animals btw Dave?
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gin, I just wanted to see if these are just oversights on your part or if it's something else? This is the second time now that Gal has indicated that he's taking the rear guard and then a couple posts later you say the same thing. They'll look kinda funny if they keep stopping to let the other walk ahead. ;-) There is a reason why I want Gal at the back at the moment, but you'd like to discuss it I'm completely ok with that. Very happy to be in the out of door again, Gal stops to take a deep breath and visibly relaxes. He opens all of his senses and then calls out to various nearby small animals and birds to ask what has been going on in the area lately and what they know of the buildings in the distance.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Sure that's he's never heard of such abominations of the natural order before, Gal's grunts as he shakes his head, angrily kicking at the scraps's of the metal canine's. As the party prepares to move out once more, Gal again takes up his rear guard position, staying in his half-elven form.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal, growling furiously now, winds back then rushes forward with a powerful blow, attempting to smash (1d20+5=17, 1d8+6=11) the metal dog's head off. (Any flank bonus not already added)
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Grimacing, using two hands Gal swings (1d20+5=7, 1d8+6=11) his massive greatclub at the metal mutt, grunting as the powerful blow passes over it's shiny head.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
The Wild Druid has no more success with the metallic beasts than did the ranger and he wonders if he was too quick to judge as he reaches for his greatclub as just the thought of trying to bite the four legged abominations make his teeth hurt...
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Confusion and distaste evident on his face for the seemingly unatural creatures, Gal nevertheless makes his way up to the front near Pavel and once again looking askance at the man's seemingly unskilled way with...animals? Gal tries his own hand at it, speaking in the growling, yipping, barking language of the dogs themselves, normal dogs that is anyway. Wild Empathy (1d20+5=22) He tries to soothe the...digs and ensure them that he and his friends mean them no harm and simply wish to pass by.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal, remaining in humanoid form for the moment, hefts his massive greatclub and stands near the rear of the party, keeping an eye on their flank and peering (1d20+6=14) around carefully for anything else out of the ordinary
PS I could have sworn I'd already updated Gal to lvl 2 but I guess I didn't. He's done now though so feel free to check for errors. Couldn't remember what we did for hp but gave him 75%. If I need to change it just let me know. Cheers to 2nd level!
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal lounges in his chair, tucked away into the farthest corner of the table possible. The scowl on his face indicates in is not fully comfortable in the inn, but any of his companions paying close attention to him will notice his foot is tapping in time to the music...almost unconsciously it appears. is it just me of does the game seem to have really slowed up? DM?
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Being well aware of the feelings towards his kind, Gal wisely chooses to remain in wolf form, and tries to stay hidden (1d20+6=20) in the shadows. A low growl of displeasure escapes his throat but he manages to keep it low enough to not be heard...
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Hey all, Dave, I hope you don't mind but since we're short a caster and a friend I game with in a couple other PbP's has a Witch who needs a home, I recommended she check us out. So if Andrea shows up, please say hi and if you approve Dave, please welcome her. (Wellard, her Player, is an Excellent DM and a Great player so they would make an excellent addition to our crew I am sure : )
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000

You be good and dont get eatn by yor frend Gal
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Taking a running leap Gal tries to rip (1d20+6=9, 1d6+6=11) another strip out of the creature
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Moving quickly to flank the creature, Gal lunges at it, sinking his teeth into it once again 1d20+6=24, 1d6+6=7 (+2 if flanked)
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal wanders in late to the common room, looming large and with bits of hay still sticking to his clothes and hair, fully looking his part as the 'wild man'. As well a faint oder of stable accompanies him. His sleep in the hay and been one of the most comfortable he had had in recent times, much better than those 'beds' in the city and he had allowed his body the luxury of the extra sleep it needed to fully recover from his previous wounds. The smell of food awakens a great hunger in him and, seeing the way Kelindra is eating, hegrins widely and sits down tucking into the meal in a like manner, except in far greater quantities. Not stopping to speak until he is satiated, he leans back and with a great and loud burp exclaims his contentment and compliments to the chef. Looking to their 'leader' (Gal has not yet fully given in to Pavel's Alpha Male status in the pack, but he does understand that the ranger is far better suited to the job, at least in these civilized lands, than he himself would be) and says "So, what we do today?"
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal, though uncomfortable around so many strangers, will eat with the others. To sleep though he will try and find some empty space in the barn, or, if need be, happily sleep outside. He'll call a few rats or other small animals to chat with and ask them to stand guard over him while he sleeps. PS if anyone is still injured (as I believe Gal still is) he can do a couple more spontaneous rejuv's for 3hp each )
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
After finding out where they will meet up, Gal grunts and says "I shall go speak with some of my.. friends. I will see you later." Gal will wander around the town for a while, when he can do so surreptitiously, he will speak with various animals to see what other kind of information he can glean. From horses to rats, dogs to chickens, he will speak with them all as he understands they all have unique viewpoints and often have a chance to observe things most 'two legs' do not. At the appointed time, he will make his way to the rendezvous place with the others. If you'd like me to RP this part more David I'm more than willing, I just condensed his actions this way in the interest of saving time
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
As the town first comes into sight, being well aware of the general feeling towards those of his ilk, Gal moves behind one of the horses and flows back into half-elf form. He continues the rest of the way on foot, albeit somewhat slower than normal due to his wounds. Dave, just to be clear, did we get to recover our spells?

No worries Kelindra ;-) Wincing in pain at Keliindra's clumsy efforts with seeing to his wounds, as she accidentally pokes her fingers directly into the gash across his chest Gal curses an oath in pain and moves her hands away sharply saying "Enough woman! Leave off! My thanks for your attempt but I think I shall be better off seeing to this myself!" With that Gal moves off and sees to his own wounds. Heal check (1d20=7). The position of his wound makes doing so awkward though and he doesn't do a much better job of it than the Cleric did.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal will flow back to half-elf shape and throughly search the mage before heading back to camp. Once there, his stubborn pride will not allow him to ask for healing but his occasional grunt of pain and the blood streaming down his chest make things pretty obvious...
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
At Pavel's curse, Gal turns around and sees the fleeing mage. His face a mix of rage and surprise he yells at the ranger "You're letting him escape to bring reinforcements?!" knowing that the beastman he had bested was covered for now by the others, Gal snarls an oath and flows into wolf from, easily chasing down the doomed spellcaster. Move is 50' in wolf form. Gal will chase the mage down until he catches him, using typical wolf tactics to try and hamstring the hobgoblin so it can't run anywhere. If it resists, Gal will kill it. If you need to roll anything for him, please go ahead.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Roaring in fury and frustration, Gal swings mightily at the chained warrior 1d20+4=19, 1d8+6=7
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Still roaring with fury, Gal swings (1d20+4=13) at his foe as the beastman moves after other prey, yet the creature is fast and the wild druid barely misses him. Not willing to give up so easily though, Gal roars even louder and chases after his enemy, once again swinging (1d20+4=14) his massive club at him. (if that somehow manages to connect: damage (1d8+6=12) )

DM Dave wrote:
Gal wasn't affected by Kelindra's healing? Snarling like a wolf, Gal again swings (1d20+4=19) his massive greatclub into his foe, this time connecting with a satisfying crunch (1d8+6=14), hitting the beastman as hard as he can.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal roars in anger and pain as the hobgoblin's chain rips into his flesh. He smashes (1d20+4=6, 1d8+6=13) his greatclub into his foe but the powerful swing misses entirely, passing inches in front his enemy's face.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Good 'leadering' there Pavel, separating Gal and Bran! ;-) Gal sees to the horses for the night, making sure they are safe, confidant, fed and watered. He will bed down by them too. When his turn to guard comes about, he will remain mostly quiet and watchful (1d20+6 =14) (+2 for sight & sound checks) , speaking only when spoken too.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Snorting in derision at Pavel's efforts, Gal speaks to the panicked animals in their own language, calling to the ones who ran away. He comforts them and lets them know they will be treated well, likely much better than they have been Wild Empathy (1d20+8=24)) After calming and gathering the horses, the strange and wild druid stops and looks at Pavel, seeming thoughtful as he does so. Approaching the ranger he says "I think I may have been rude before, I apologize. I know you tried your best, I just have a... special way with my animal brothers. Please forgive my way, I am still more easy among animals than men" and with this lengthy, for him, speech, the Wild Druid turns back to the horses, continuing to speak with and comfort them.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Flowing instantly into humanoid form, Gal begins to cast a spell. As the last word of the incantation is finished the tress and plants along the road all around the raiders begin to move and writhe, trapping and binding the riders and horses. OOC-Actions:
Spoiler: Gal casts Entangle gauging the 40' spread to encompass all or as many of the riders as possible as they move into and through it along the road. (DC20 strength or escape artist save each round or be entangled)
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Gal, being caught up in his creation, doesn't notice Pavel & Gin's arrival until they are almost upon him. Somewhat embarrassed at being seen doing something he considers private, he hastily rises and puts it aside. When Pavel notices his creation and asks him about it the Wild Druid turns his head and mumbles 'It's Nothing'. He then moves to the gate and stares ahead down the path, waiting somewhat impatiently now for the others to arrive so they can all depart.
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Of the belief that there is very little he needs that nature won't provide for him, Gal seeks nothing and is the first one at the gates. He sits comfortably and waits for the others, idly weaving some tiny plants, while still alive, into a beautiful living sculpture. Might be a good idea to bring along some Rope with the horses though!
Male Half Elven Wild Druid / 1 XP:1,340/2,000
Now fully caught up in his roll of 'Protector', Gal stays near Beppo and keeps a wary eye on Gin. As they walk, he asks the small creature "So what you make? These things, they move? But they are not Alive??" Note to David
Spoiler: No real need to get into detail and explain Beppo's profession if you'd prefer not too, mainly just writing it for flavor and character filler |
