Fluffy:
"It is a great honor," the Yamaraj assures the woman as it lead her to Pharasma's tower, barely putting
her concerns to rest. She had thought she served Pharasma faithfully through her life. She had hunted
down those who would pervert the faith, those who would raise the dead for their own purposes. She
guided people on how to protect their dead from the predations of those who would use them. Her
inquisition was quite sucsessful, bringing to heel many deviant souls, and sending more than a few to
Pharasma herself. Perhaps her punishment then came from joining the Medevian Crusade. Perhaps,
despite what she thought, destroying demons wishing to convert souls to more demons was not the path
to walk. Perhaps that set her soul off Pharasma's path. Perhaps that was enough to prevent her from
spending eternity in the boneyard at the command of the Lady of Graves. It was what sent Kestra to her,
in any case. "But why am I not flowing in the river of souls? Why am I not on the normal path to
Pharasma's courts?"
The Yamaraj smiles at the question and responds, "Your service to the Lady of Bones has not gone
unnoticed."
She hoped that was a good thing.
Kestra found her thoughts wandering back to Absalom, wishing that she had gotten the chance to say
goodbye to her friends in the Wise Quarter, shared on last drink with her cousins on the edge of the
Precipice Quarter, and perhaps even had one last visit with the daft old fool Kriegton Shane in the Grand
Lodge. She thought she would be happy in the realm of her goddess, but she still wished she had just
one more day in the mortal realm. Was that so wrong?
In the very least she wanted to visit ONE Sky Citadel before her end...
"This is where I leave you," the Yamaraj declares, pulling Kestra from her thoughts. When she looks up,
she she sees she is at the base of the Spire, only a few thousand stairs separating Kestra and Pharasma
herself. The Yamaraj rests a talon on her shoulder, "Be not afraid, young one. Your judgement is at hand,
but it will not be what you expect," it said in what Kestra assumes is an attempt at a comforting way. She
absently nods and thanks him, begining her long ascent to the top. Thousands of steps to think,
thousands of steps to worry, thousands of steps to overthink what Pharasma could want that she needed
to see her personally...

Where: Kestra was born in the Precipice Quarter to a merchant father and a mother who ran an inn within the Petals District.
Who: Kestra used to be a reserved and quiet woman, but when she became a priestess of Pharasma, she became a more open and cheerful woman, excited about her faith and educating others on its tenants.
How she Became an Adventurer:Kestra traveled with her father's caravan after she became a priestess, spreading the word of Pharasma and taking care of the bodies of anyone who was lost on their travels. When travelling near Geb, the caravan was set upon by scouts of the nation and taken as chattel. She watched as her comrades were taken one by one to the slaughter. When it was just Kestra and her father left, they were saved by passing Pathfinders looking for their researcher who was lost in Geb. After they returned to Absalom, Kestra spoke with her friend Krighton Shane about the Society, and after learning that was not a common thing for the Society, Kestra decided to become an Inquisitor for the Church of Pharasma. She went across Avistan and Garund, this time bringing her word at the tip of an arrow. She spent much time around Geb, putting to rest many of the dead that made up the nation.
What Else Matters: Community has always been important to Kestra. Community, family, and cooperation were values instilled in her by her parents from the begining. There was no greater honor than defending your community, sacrifcing yourself for your family, and no better way to achieve than cooperation with those at your shoulders.
How I Died: When she heard of the Demon's predilection for turning the souls of mortals into demons, subverting the cycle of death and judgment, Kestra went to join the Mendevian Crusaders. It ended up being her last mistake. During only her third foray into the Worldwound, Kestra's scout troop was set upon by Babau demons, and her troop was slain to the last. The final memories Kestra has of this mortal plane are the screams of her fellows that she failed to protect...
