About Kelvin Dral

Backstory:

What can be said about Kelvin Dral? Most people won’t know him by name, but when given a description of him, most citizens of Sandpoint will know him as the “Drunk of The Rust Dragon” or even the “Rotund Beast of Sandpoint”. Kelvin likes his drink, even more so than his food, and spends most days and nights in the Rust Dragon, eating, drinking, carousing, and singing bawdy drinking songs in off key. Most people wouldn’t know that Kelvin used to be an adventurer.

Having come to Sandpoint over a decade ago, Kelvin had tried his hand at adventuring. Unfortunately, during an exhibition in the wilderness of Varisia, a member of his group betrayed the others and left them for dead. Almost succumbing to starvation, Kelvin happened upon a caravan heading for Sandpoint. He was nursed back to health by a kind old cleric, known to the caravan as Koya Mvashti. He travelled with the caravan back to Sandpoint where he stayed and “retired” from adventuring. He became close friends with Koya’s adopted son, Sandru, who he always tried to help stay out of trouble.

Kelvin also has a soft spot the tavern’s owner, Ameiko, as he finds her rather fetching. He tries to start long conversations with her, but she doesn’t seem to be interested in Kelvin Dral, treating him the same as everyone else.

If given the chance, Kelvin would love to get back out into the wilderness. He feels that he has become too soft and the adventure would help him shed his extra poundage and to give exercise to his best and closest friend, Jody, his loyal horse.
