I like the whole concept with a few minor changes I would personally make. One would be the alignment, the other would be the archetype. Maybe she's a free spirit and although she loves her parents and respects them, she fell in love with this new place (Absalon). Thus the arguments and persistence on staying. I would change her alignment to perhaps NG.
The whole concept of elegance and joy of company rather than that of carnal pleasure seems more fitting to the geisha archetype instead of the lotus geisha. Lotus geisha seems to me to focus more on seduction instead of companionship and wits like the geisha does.
Background stories seem more interesting to me when they have a tragedy involved. Maybe she was kidnapped, and her family returned home except her father who is still looking for her. Or it was her father/mother who fell for the corruption of this new land. The other spouse perhaps decided to return home, but she couldn't accept the fact that her happy family would split and decided to stay and rescue her parent from the corruption of this new land.
With these changes I can see her more combat oriented. She has a reason now for fighting, otherwise, why would she focus on combat feats if she's so friendly and everyone seems to love her?
