About Karak Hakachanter
Karak is an imposing 6'5" half-orc- green skinned, tusked, shaved bald, and with a black goatee. He has intricate, jagged tā moko inscribed on his arms, chest, back, and face.
He hails from the Empty Hand tribe of Urgir in Belkzen. His orc mother purposefully bred with a human to create a tribal member more willing and able to play the role of one of the tribe's hakachanters.
Being of mixed blood, his tribe would normally consider him the lowest of the low. However, he has proven to be good enough at what he does that he's given a modicum of respect and treated somewhat closer to neutrally. He doesn't care, though. He has the role he was born to fulfill and that's all he needs.
His superiors have sent him to join the Pathfinder Society in order to explore old ruins for secrets and artifacts, and forge relationships with powerful, influential figures (or those who can be used) in order to strengthen Empty Hand's power and legitimacy as the true rulers of Urgir and all of Belkzen.
In his travels, he has come across old writings of the goddess Lissala. He never cared one way or the other for the orc gods, but Lissala's portfolio of fate and duty struck a chord with him. He seeks to find out more of what her worship was like before it became the perverse mockery it is now. Seeing so-called Lissalans flagellate themselves and paying homage to the seven deadly sins sickens him. It has nothing to do with what drew him to her and should not be how she is represented in the world. He will happily end any who willingly partake in these heretical rituals and dare to call them worship.
