Physcial Description:
Kano stands just over 5'8" and while thin, he is very well muscled. His close-cropped hair is black as the moonless sky and his eyes are just a shade lighter. His face is clean shaven, aside from the small patch of hair beneath his bottom lip.
The insides of his forearms bear matching tattoos of the symbol of the goddess Calistria though they are not always visible, being covered from either his clothes or armor.
Background Questions:
1. My parents are Akinjo and Sakira Kaijitsu, previously of Tian Xia, currently living in the city of Magnimar. Both of them are still living, though our relationship is strained at best. I do not hate them, but I do not agree with the plans they tried to lay out for my life. I am thankful for what they have given me, but I need to be my own person.
3. I am an only child, so the closest thing I had to siblings while growing up were cousins, though some of them I only saw a few times a year, as they did not live near us.
4. My childhood was an easy one. I have never had to go without unless I chose to. When I was a young boy, I had several friends, though when I started to mature and had to take on training for my family, we grew apart. At this point, I do not know what has happened to any of them. My only rival is my cousin Tsuto. He and I competed at anything that could be called a competition whenever our families were together. I do not hate my cousin, but he has shown me no love, and I feel no love for him, even at the loss of his mother. While I was young, I had no role model, save my father, but when I began my training, I strove to be like my instructors.
5. My family has never been anything but wealthy, as far as back as I can remember. I do know that we are not originally from this area though, and believe that when our family first came to the area, my grandparents had to work very hard to raise their social standing.
6. I am able to read and write in more than one language. I owe this to my parents insisting that I receive a very thorough education.
8. After my training was finished, I went to work for my family’s business, in the glassworks( in Magnimar, not Sandpoint). I have not been there long yet. No more than a year, but others tell me I can becoming more skilled.
9. I have been trained in several different aspects. Religiously, I was trained by Sister Marietta Sorlin, a cleric of Calistria. Martially, I was trained by Zachariah Swift, or at least that is the name he gave my father when he was hired. In the art of glassmaking, I was first trained by my uncle Lonjiku, though he only taught me the basics, before sending me back to Magnimar to work in my father’s glassworks, instead of his own.
10. My closest, and only friend, is my cousin Ameiko. She and I have been close since our childhood, despite my rivalry with her younger brother, Tsuto. She gave me a place to stay while I lived in Sandpoint briefly, offered words of advice whenever she felt like it would help, and has always been kind to me.
I would do anything for Ameiko, even die for her if it was necessary.
14. While I have been trained to kill, I do not revel in it. In fact, I prefer to find some way around killing if at all possible, though I am not afraid to do what is necessary to protect myself or those I care for.
17. Opposing religions generally do not bother me. There are more paths through life than the one I have chosen. Who am I to tell someone they are wrong in it. I do not hold a deity to blame for the actions of their servants, though I do hold the servant accountable for the actions they do in the name of their deity.
18. Calistria often glorifies revenge, which I do not always agree with. I do pray to her, and she answers my calls, but thankfully, as of yet, she has asked nothing of me that would compromise my moral outlook on life.
20. Calistria’s symbol has been tattooed on the inside of both of my forearms. I have never noticed any more of a reaction out of them then I see anyone giving someone wearing a holy symbol of a deity they do not favor.
