Fart! I don't have my book with me. I'll make my meager attack later tonite.

Kael changes target to the spell user.

Kael and Brother Seamus will take out the guy loading a crossbow.

Spoiler:
Are the men following being sneaky or just walking?

Kael and Brother Seamus will follow as close as we can and still stay hidden.

We will hide and see if guards appear.

"It seems this would be a good entrance for us but I would like to know where the gate is too."
Kael and Brother Seamus will go look for the main gate but we will not approach. We are just going to spot it from its relation to the cave. After that we will head back to the group.

Kael will investigate the area around the cave and just inside the cave if it appears safe.

Kael wonders if anyone noticed that patch of poison ivy back near where he last saw the others...

Kael continues his scouting efforts, keeping an eye out for trouble.

I assume Kael is with the party.
Kael joins Brother Seamus on the scouting trip.

What time of day is it?

Is Kael back with the party?

Kael continues scouting.
He'll go back to the group and 'check in' every hour or so.

"Alright. I'll be about 200 feet ahead. You'll hear the prearranged signal if I get into trouble."

"It looks like there are people there but we are too far away to see anything of value.
Yeah, you tall people should duck down so you will not be seen so easily."
"Merian, that is some good insight. I would not have thought of it."

Spot check (1d20+6=22)

"Oh look! I found them."
Kael grins.

Any results of my scouting?

Ok, totally understand. :] I agree with Kael not needing a healing potion.

Merian, Kael is a backup healer in his own right.

"I'm going to scout the are area real quick and see if they are nearby. Give me a few minutes."
Kael touches the hammer hanging around his neck and makes a quick silent prayer to Grundinnar. He then fades into the forest.
Hide; Move Silently; Spot; Survival checks (1d20+14=30, 1d20+12=29, 1d20+6=21, 1d20+4=13)

If I need to roll something else let me know.

Kael gathers food for everyone from the pantry and maybe an extra couple sweet rolls for himself, fills his water skins. Then he will get his other gear together and meet back with everyone else.

"Here you go." He gives everyone 4 days worth of food when they come back into the room or whoever is already there.

"I'm ready," as he puts the last bite of a sweet roll into his mouth.

"I agr*uff we*ff Br*th*r Ze*mus." says Kael with a mouth full of sausage, cheese and bread.
Kael finishes the last of his drink and food.

"Can we move off together then split a scouting party ahead when we get closer? That way we are not apart by such time and distance as we are now. I think it is a good idea to meet up with Priapus and our acolyte friend."

"I agree." (munch munch) "If the Lady would be so kind as to get a scroll for us we could use it when we come back. Any information would be useful. We should get back to our friends in the woods so they are not kept waiting."
"Lady, would you be able to let us raid your larder for this little adventure?"

With a mouth full of bread cheese and sausage Kael nods, "I agr*uff we*ff Br*th*r Ze*mus."
Looks to his sleeve and notices only 2 more bites of sausage is left.

Kael moves over to make room for Brother Seamus to sit. He breaks off some bread and cheese and offers it to his friend. (Not saying anything because he is still chewing his latest bite of sausage.)

Kael grabs the rest of his breakfast plate, popping a biscuit into his mouth, takes a last sip from one of the mugs of milk, grabs his mug of water, and hurries to the back with the others.

/pitnik It's "Irori" actually. /end pitnik (My favorite Pathfinder god.)

Kael will be eating at the Inn with the others.
Assuming that Brother Seamus told me what he is up to.
Kael does not come down to the common room until late breakfast time.

Kael will also wonder why Priapus wasn't lunch for some creature if we find him signing.

That sounds like a fine plan.

Seamus, You don't want to go to the Inn?

"They didn't have any tattoos on them. They were thugs and I am not sure where we were in town but I could find the spot again if needed. I would recognize the thugs if we come across them again."

"I say we head back to town and get some rest. We can gather the others and leave after breakfast.

Search check; Spot check (1d20 2=7, 1d20 6=19)
Not sure if they are needed at this point...

Sharoth, did we notice any back tattoos or other marking from the thugs in town?

Spoiler:
Hide and Move Silently checks. (1d20 14=22, 1d20 12=24)
[ooc]Not sure if they are needed at this point...[/occ]

Kael follows Brother Seamus' lead until need to go 'scout' ahead.

Cue theme muzak!
Start film sequence!

Stoney and the Shorties:
Episode 1 - A Walk in the Woods

/announcer voice
"Will they get lost?
Will they find adventure?
Will they eat marshmellows?
Stayed tuned and find out!"
/end announcer voice

"Yep, I'm ready."

Kael pushes Brother Seamus forward, THEN, steps in behind him after waiting the required 5 seconds.
Not that it would happen that way, but if we were in a Sgt. Bilko episode...

Kael looks at priapus with a I'm-not-the-gnome-he's-talking-about look. (and giggles)
giggles

"A scouting mission is a good idea. Is this location somewhere we can get to tonight? Or is it further from the city? If it is further than we should head out in the morning and scout at night when we get there."

"I have no problem with having additional help. We are going into the unknown and more help couldn't hurt."

Spot check (1d20 6=9)

undercommon
"That is true."

common
"I am with my friend and I want to help too."

Undercommon to Brother Seamus

Spoiler:
Later we can ask her about these slavers and my missing friend.

Kael is a bit nervous but goes in the room. It looks like he's expecting something.

Brother Seamus wrote:
With whomever else will come with me, I ascend to the private quarters and knock at Lady Chauntessa's door. "Your Ladyship?"

Kael walks with Brother Seamus.

"I think that would be a fine idea."

Bah! Glad you're here!

Tess wrote:
~Tess grins at Aldan and then squeezes your hand again~ Oh, I don't think that you were ranting. I find magic to be very interesting, despite my inability to work it.

"There are other things out there besides magic."

Kael takes out three silver pieces, sets them on the table, and gestures. The silver pieces perform a little dance to the music.
"I once used this technique to avoid some orc bandits."

Brother Seamus wrote:
"Of course. Kael and I are riding on Her Ladyship's graces this evening."

"Oh, that is the case! It had slipped my mind."

Kael gestures for some more wine, bread and cheese.

"Brother Seamus has a good heart but is as sly as any I have known. He being of the sly sort is a wisdom that is beyond me. My thoughts tend to not bend as much. Though, I am learning."

Undercommon

Spoiler:
"It is something you can pass on to a rock eater such as I...?"

Brother Seamus wrote:

To Kael, in Common:

"Huhn. Colors, and good music as well. I feel decadent here on the surface."

"Decadent... well, maybe a little. The wine sure is better... and the women are taller."

Kael is feeling better and not so fatigued by the earlier activities. Or maybe it's the wine and music.

Gnomish
"I think he went to water a dirt beetle."

Priapus wrote:

Gnomish

"Well, maybe the strings are loose enough that some gold will make it into our pockets too."

DM Sharoth wrote:

Brother Seamus and Kael,

Did you approach Idiah, Priapus, Alden, and MErian's table already?

Kael is sitting with Priapus, Idiah, Aldan, and Merian while watching Brother Seamus's back.

"Thank you Lady."

Gnomish
"I think that is what makes them rich, getting us to do things for them..."

"That I couldn't tell you as I just arrived here myself. I was about to ask you the same thing.
Cillamar seems to be a town like any other town. We've already been in a fight with some thugs."

Gnomish
"Merian? Ah... yes. I do like climbing stalagmites when they are clear of ropers or some such."

Common
"I'll let him introduce himself when he is done talking with the noble."
