Kadasa scorches her heel slightly on the eel's burning skin, but she shrugs it off as a minor burn. "Well, that was different."

Anyone seen the Perilous Wilds changes to Undertake a Perilous Journey? The issue I have with the original move is Quartermaster is really shafted when it comes to rolls. A good Quartermaster roll reduces rations used, but a good Trailblazer roll reduces time taken, which also reduces the rations used. Perilous Wilds adds another option to Quartermaster, using normal rations but giving everyone +1 forward because the food was so good. Trailblazer and Scout also get a few other options to pick from.

Using the original move isn't a big deal for me; I just wanted to point out an alternative.

Kadasa silently watches the drunk rant, then get escorted from the tavern. "We best be off. He likely has friends who share his ideas, and a drunken mob will not help sick children." She turns towards the door and heads out.

Though a drunk mob might help kickstart stuff.

Kadasa nods and claps her fist against the other palm. "We shall see what must be done. But remember, Nuccia. Jacob would do well under me, and his welfare would be seen to." Kadasa climbs down the stairs and heads to the temple. On the way there, she runs into Shyff hollering for the ranger. She cuts a quick bow and then tenses slightly while speaking with him. "Ekatiz'bahi Izana, it seems you've found something urgent. Have you heard of Priestess's disappearance?"

Kadasa continues her meditation for a bit, then descends and goes to Nuccia's home and knocks. "Your son is still ill, it seems? Have the healers done anything further, Nuccia?" Kadasa folds her arms and leans against the doorframe. "The body, the mind, and the soul are all one, as I have said many times before. What stregthens one strengthens tthe others. Have you given any more thought to my offer? Jacob shows promise, Nuccia."

Kadasa is a slim, athletic woman with her hair shaved into a single strip, wearing a dark vest and loose pants, with a line of antique prayer beads around her neck. She climbs the rickety ladder into her small hut, starts a fire to dry her cloths, begins a pot of thin vegetable soup, and climbs onto the roof to begin meditating.

Thelian, your master have a name? ;)

The Initiate's Signature Style is basically the Fighter's Signature Weapon rethemed. The Way of the Heavens uses a combination of punches, open hand strikes, and finger jabs (hand, precise), focuses on offense over defense (+1 damage), and has a complex system of pressure points that cause trauma and death (2 piercing). None of the Advanced Moves are very similar, other than my version of Blacksmith to get magic properties added to the Signature Style.

I think there's some potential for awesomeness with Thelian and Kadasa.

Something that might help with that is changing it to 'Your skin is loose and pliable, you get 1 Armor.' Since x Armor things don't stack like +x Armor, it would reinforce that it doesn't work with manufactured armor. I believe most magical sources of armor bonuses say +x, so they would stack with the move.

Mezirbrekan, I had a question about the Doppelganger. Is the Stretchy Hide move meant to stack with other armor sources, like moves or spells?

Shyff, Kadasa betrayed her brother Anadran to Valdoru, a warlord who invaded their home, out of jealousy and hatred. Then she met Master Gao and was shown how wrong she had been.

And some expanded bonds:
Master Gao advised caution when dealing with the Heavens or their agents. We are as playthings to many gods, and their intentions are never clear. However he also encouraged knowledge in all things, and learning the secrets of one who was sworn to silence would be worth the risks.

True archers demonstrate great focus and perceptiveness, and those who show the wisdom of nature are regarded as higher still.

Thelian, assuming you're fine with the bond I assigned you, what sort of swordsmanship school do you follow? Can't be rivals without knowing a bit about you ;)

At least it's not as bad as the Cleric's 'I will covert someone' bond. How's that for respecting player autonomy? I always ignore that one and rewrite it.

Oh no, I don't think it'll be a problem either. Dungeon World doesn't require the same sort of party roles as Pathfinder. Should be fun. And bards can heal at least.

Kadasa is an initiate of the Way of the Heavens, taught to her by Master Gao. This art is rather rare and taught by a few reclusive practitioners. The Way of the Heavens has a well-deserved reputation for aloofness, and places an additional emphasis on meditation. It is known for its intricate system of pressure point attacks.
