"Keep frosty, everyone." Joseph comments to the others. "This type of neighborhood is often rife with lower-vibration entities, like Desperation and Want, and even worse spiritual parasites. The last thing you want to do is walk around places like this at night, in places like Fever."

"Yes. I hope Valda has some kind of scrying spell to help find the manufacturer", Joseph offers.

Joseph follows behind Median. Wonder how many copies of The Emoji Movie on DVD this place has?

Joseph wracks his brain looking for any religious connection.

"Look what I found", Joseph addresses the apartment. "Some kind of 'curse totem', perhaps?"

The godling will examine the out-of-ordinary art pieces.

Joseph follows both women in the apartment.

Joseph notices Jennifer walking back to the car.

She's still getting used to her new body. Poor girl. Hmm. Maybe I'll see if she wants to get some dinner after this investigation. Cheer her up some, the godling thinks as he turns his attention back to Median's questions.

Joseph nods, walking with the group.

"Goodness. This is a wonderful way to 'meet the neighbors'", Joseph grumbled slightly. "Is anyone here familiar with the victims, seeing how Fever is a small town?"

When Joseph drives off, the godling doesn't go back to his hotel, but over to Valda's estate. Joseph stayed up for most of the night talking, sometimes ranting at the wizard, while the cooler-headed woman listened intently.
"This is why I wanted you to come to Fever for so long", Valda explains. "Fever needs you. An actual honest-to-the-Gods hero. Thankfully you've experienced weirdness for several years. Fever doesn't get that bad, until it does."
The wizard smirks. "Be our Buffy Summers. Be the hero you and Your Father know you to be." With much trepidation before Joseph leaves the estate, the nordic godling agrees to stay in Fever.

Smite Rival (Su): Once per day, a godling can call focus his internal divine power to strike down those who dare oppose him. As a swift action, the godling chooses one target within sight to smite. If this target has dealt damage to the godling within the past 24 hours, the godling adds his Constitution bonus (if any) to his attack rolls and adds his godling level to all damage rolls made against the target of his smite. The smite rival effect remains until the target of the smite is dead or the next time the godling rests and regains his use of this ability.

Joseph gathers his bits and bobs, as he exhaustively meets with those he fought alongside on his strangest night of his young life.
"Please tell me what happened isn't normal in this town?"

3rd - OOC, this adventure, and a later discussion with Valda, Joseph has been convinced to put up stakes in Fever. I'd like to figure out what Joseph will do for a living here in town, meet some more locals, and slowly acclimate to the strangest town Joseph has every seen.

Scratching his head, Joseph examines the plinths more closely, straining his mind to come to a better answer.

"Yeah. I agree." Joseph said with a heavy finality. "I lived a good life. I helped people. No regrets."
The godling looks to the others. "If we have to die to keep an unspeakable evil from leaving, I'm okay with it."

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Joseph also examines the plinth. "Not sure."

... You know, that look is really different than what you had before, but I think it suits you. We're going to have to get you a good hat of disguise or something so you can continue to function in human society, but look at all that power. Good lines, really good ears. I like it.

Joseph nods behind Median, trying to make Jennifer feel better. "She's right. It's different, to be sure. But you still look great."

Joseph kneels down before Jennifer's prone body. "I don't have any kind if healing skill, just this.."
The godling reaches down to see if his Arcane Battery trait can shock Jennifer back to consciousness.

Joseph takes aim at the fae sister who ran forward.

Joseph, the invisible one is back there, but you HAVE two targets that you can see already... unless one of them blinded you? Why aren't you fighting THEM? Kill the one that looks weakest... the one Jennifer already mangled!

Joseph flips backward, avoiding most of the fire's burn.
"Target! I need a target!" The godling growls as he looks for invisible foes, magic gun at the ready!
Perception + Spirit Sense: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 16 + 2 = 21

The Fae screamed in triumph as Jennifer fell. "Surrender, and your friend can still be saved. Fight us and die as she has."

"Yes. Because you have done everything to endear us to you." Joseph sighed. "I wish we were dealing with pixies. At least, pixies have a sense of humor."

Joseph, knowing his physical senses are useless right now, closes his eyes and focuses his breathing to locate the invisible fey.
Perception + Spirit Sense: 1d20 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 16 + 2 = 34

Joseph fires at one of the remaining visible fey.

Despite the onslaught, Joseph's keen eye sees the injured..um..centaur lady barely holding on.
"Come on, Median. Stay with us, girl. We live through this I'll take you out for a nice steak dinner. You can tell me all about your latest book. Maybe some dancing. It'll be fun."
The godling aims at one of the two fey on the left.

Joe picks up the stun gun and tries to decipher the strange markings.

As Median examines the screen, Joseph keeps his weapon aimed at the thief, in case he tries anything.

"Step away from the console, or the last thing you think of is how you should have listened to me!" Joseph barks, revolver drawn.

Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22
"No. Meridan has the right idea." Joseph has his suppressed revolver out and ready.

Joseph stares in amazement as Median transforms before him. "Uh..okay!! Why not! Bring on the 'more crazy'!!"

Joseph pulls the tactical knife from his sheath, and sends it down into the rising threat.

Joe gives chase after this new thieving threat.

Joseph follows the ladies down the elevator, watching the possessed Ross with reactive interest.

Hi all. I was dumb and split Gatorade on my laptop. It's in for repairs until next week. So I won't be able to effectively post until then. Sorry.

Joseph, if you would like to get your gear we can say your vehicle is still within the bounds of the reality created. It'll take a short while to go get it, though.

Frustrated with Median, Joseph just happened to look outside the Void once more..and sees his truck isn't parked too far away.

Sensing danger, Joseph turns and takes a fighting stance against whatever is making it's approach. As Odin as my witness, I will never go anywhere without my weapons again!

The godling lets go and sets up from the bench to give median some room. Man, I can't read her. Must all the existential dread outside, Joseph thinks to himself, forgetting median's a telepath.

Joseph can tell of Median's stress and sits down next to her, placing both hands on her shoulders.
"We'll get out of this somehow, Median. Think of all we accomplished tonight. Granted it seems the Universe decided to cram one year's worth of crazy in one night. But we're all still alive. We can do this."
Diplomacy (for no reason): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19

"Ah." Joseph thought aloud. "So that's that 'cosmic horror' thing everyone's talking about. How the Hel did sh|t get worse?!"

"Aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..WHAT?!" Joseph sets down the danger box and looks to find a window to peer outside.
