As a personal friend of the submitter, I would like to say that Nelvia was lots better when it was a 1500 word draft.

Mau, as I told you before, I feel that the last frantic attempt to cut down on the word count hurt the entry.

To all paizo readers: This guy's head is literally stuffed with cool and interesting ideas. Please consider this for your 5th vote and I'm sure you wont feel disappointed in the next stage.

Congratulations, I hope you had time to create a country as interesting and playable as this item.

Maybe allow re-writes or consultations with the 32 winners. If they submit a country and it has 1002 words or they forgot to list a capital or there is some taboo item, contact the author and ask him/her to edit it instead of auto-disqualifying the entry.

There's a learning curve on both sides of the judges' screen, you know?

I would also say no... but on the other hand, the word-counting feature in MS Word and the word-counting feature in Open Office writer have different criteria (as the judges already have pointed out). The differences are sometimes more significant than 1 or 2 words.

So I hope the contestants have at least 8 words tolerance for the country stage.

Tied with the origami book for the number one spot.

I like this one: simple, colorful and not too powerful

Extra points for style... RPGs need more magic items that are gross to use, and I don't mean vile and evil things like grafts...

I know I have been tempted to tell players that Cure X Wounds potions taste of saccharine and artificial cherry flavor thinly disguising some bitter revolting flavor that nonetheless remains as an aftertaste for a good five minutes.

Anybody with kids will know what I'm talking about...

The idea of origami-as-magic is both appealing and original... and so deceptively simple that I wonder why I hadn't thought of it before.

I also liked the name, it conveyed some oriental flavor you don't often see in D&D these days.

...and for the "Master Mo" name, it was no mystery to me at least; take the first and last letters of this guy's first name and you'll see what I mean.

Quoting Palpatine: We will follow your career with great interest...
