About Jonathan Kasten
Born near the end of the journey of the flotilla to Absalom station, Kaster was raised entirely on ship. He was taught about the history of his people, their home now nearly a millennia away, their culture of bravery, honor, and study, and how his flotilla was among one of many chosen vessels sent forth to this sector in search of a new home, and of new friends.
First contact with the creatures proved brutal, it seemed the creatures too had known vast amounts of war, and some had assumed we came bearing arms. Two years of misunderstood fighting occurred before peace was brought to both sides. As it turned out, it wasn't the entire race that stood against Kasatha, but rather a small faction that wanted to use them for political gain. The Kasatha understood, and that faction was sent running into the depths of space.
Kaster was one of the first thousand to be trained by the foreign creatures. The training focused on strength and quick reactions. They used projectile weapons, which although frowned upon by
the Kasatha, Kaster seemed to particularly enjoy, especially the heavier, more destructive weapons. He excelled in his training, eventually getting to a specialist school that focused on explosives, they were called "Saboteurs," and Kaster never felt more at home.
Unfortunately for Kaster, the training was only just that. With no war on the horizon, it was just a part time job. He needed something that would test his skills, that's when he learned about the Starfinder Society. A group of mercenaries who take up small jobs, anything from protection, studying ancient civilizations, or even meeting new ones. And so he set forth, weapon in hand, in order to find the fate that awaits him.
Kaster is a typical Kasathan male at 6'3, with an elongated head, and bluish-gray skin, with a thick scarf, bearing markings of his clan and house, wrapped around his head, covering his nose and mouth. He has a tattoo of a white sun on his forehead surrounded by black lines to resemble home, and his eyes are as black as the void. He wears his standard issue armor given to him on graduation, and always has with him a number of grenades and his trusty artillery laser.
