Jonjon nods to Obi-Wan's question. "Yes. You are confident in this power, certain in all it does. I... know I could do more, but that would make waves. Splashing? I would be a big fish, like you are. The problem is... there's always a bigger fish." his eyes flick in the direction of the young Anakin. "Some big enough to swallow your ship whole." He sighs. "So I learn to hide myself, and my abilities, from the bigger fish. When you can't be bigger, be the clever one, yes?"
Jonjon opens his eyes. Looking up to master Qui-Gon. "I learned from the land. From the places in Naboo that people on the surface have forgotten..."He seems to be lost in memory. "Its mostly scratches on stone. But I slept there, had dreams. Dreams taught me to read scratches. I wake, things seem different. Learn secrets from the earth."
Jonjon sits quietly as the two jedi talk, practically ignored. It was fine, since he usually his natural inclination was towards hiding his presence. Closing his eyes, Jonjon felt the mystical energies as he had learned it in the swamplands of Naboo. These masters had learned how to use the same powers as he, but they were... different. Stronger, in some ways, and their weapons were formidable. So for now, he would sit, watch, and listen, and perhaps he would learn something about their powers. When hunting, he would learn the creature's habits and moves. These 'jedi' had some moves he could actually use.
I'm here. No one seems to interact with me very much so the gungan's just been a quiet passenger on the ship. I'll have a post up today.
Jonjon will find the water dispenser and drink several cups of water before he plops down on a crash couch and sighs. "I'm an amphibian... that's too dry and hot for me to enjoy. Never gonna go there again." he says, to no one in particular.

I think that's a fair arrangement for the DSP for using grip. I didn't intend on using it more than that round.
I can't accept that, cause there are tons of non-dark side powers whose result it 'damaging' living entities. In fact, in such a combat-focused system, MOST of them do, with very few powers that are strictly for utility. -_-
Yes I'll stick to my decision. Thank you for asking :) Jonjon, as we discussed, is from a rather different force tradition than the Jedi, and doesn't have as clearly defined concepts of light and dark side use of the force, since it's more of a 'mystic power' to him than a discipline. I would however, point out that Force Grip no longer has the [dark side] tag on it anymore; at least not in saga edition. I would also wonder what application of force grip wouldn't incur a dark side point in your interpretation of the power. Especially since I'm using it *in* combat to incapacitate an enemy. I mean sure, I totally get earning a dark side point to choke a guy to death in our next mission briefing, but they're trying to kill me just as much as I am them. If you can allow me to drop the guy as he falls unconscious but not *dead*, I can also do that too. The point was to get the guy to stop shooting at me while I watch the two jedi fight. I will accept any dark side points you decide on, though. :) It's just one for now and that opens up roleplay opportunities with the other characters. [edit] I totally get your house rule for *key* enemy defenses vs. force powers. Characters who focus in use the force can just ruin a boss encounter because they can hit that high defense number extremely easily.
Jonjon watches the fight between jedi with some interest. Almost as an afterthought, he reaches out to the side using the force and plucks the pilot off the speeder bike by his throat.

Jonjon runs forward And leaps, landing in the path of the oncoming speeders. He raises a hand, focusing. With an expression of concentration, he throws up his hand.
He hauls up a wall of sand into the path of the speeding Mandaloroans! -Posted with Wayfinder
Jonjon will crank back his Atlatl, waiting for the speeders to get close before flinging his energy ball into the lap of a pilot.
You *could* move object a big pile of sand up and avalanche them, or grab the lead swoop and smash it into other ones.
Jonjon observes the scene, and decides that he will need a better weapon in the future than just the few energy balls he had left. He'll let the 'jedi' deal with the red-skinned foe; it seemed that it wasn't his fight. Instead, he draws his Atlatl and loads it, readying to shoot at a speeder, not the trooper on it.
Jonjon shields his eyes from the suns, looking at the group's approach. "I can try to stop some of them." he shouts. "But I have a bad feeling about the red one."
Jonjon climps on top of the ship, trying to get a better look. While up there, he also searches around for other threats. -Posted with Wayfinder

Jonjon will turn his head, his large ears flapping in the wind as he watches to see where trouble will be coming from and trying to steer Panaka away from it.

Along the way, the gungan actually runs along the rooftops of the town, keeping a hunter's eye out for Mandalorian threats and when necessary, misdirecting their attention with carefully placed Mind Tricks.
I'm... going to need to think about what I want to see for Jonjon, considering all the stuff he was in the movies... (Terrible).

Jonjon doesn't react outwardly to his perception of the boy. Obviously, the two warriors with him had *some* magic, like him. This man could possibly be a witch of some sort, so it made sense. Still, he would be cautious not to make the young man angry, lest he curse him or something. When the mandalorian bursts through the door, Jonjon reflexively drops into a crouch, reaching for his strange powers to hide him.

I just find it funny that only Master Qui-gon knows I have am one too.
Jonjon will keep an eye on the shopkeep and his assistant but otherwise putter around the store, letting the ship captains talk. The heat and dryness of the planet were uncomfortable, but not impossible to deal with. During the trip, it was unusual to be near others who were strange, like him, but he didn't say anything. He would keep quiet for now.
I would like to submit my vote now that we not kill Darth Maul at the end of Episode 1. I mean, I'm willing to play it out, but I'm also hoping that Maul survives and becomes an enduring villain. You mean endure as more than a poor sith's drider? I hope so too. Or completely dead. One or the other.
I just wanted to say thank you for acknowledging I'm not a terrible Gungan cringe factory.

The gungan, almost overlooked in the flurry of tense conversation, shrugs. "I saw the Jedi fight." he says. "Would not want to fight against their laser sword." he tilts his head to his supply pack and weapons on one seat. "I've only got a spear."

If you zoom in on that linked one, there's a TON of planets on it. I haven't compared to the Wookiepedia one, but it's pretty darn full.
