About Johnathan Lewis
Johnathan Lewis is a doctor and a frog, more precisely, a three foot tall anthropomorphic frog, with a doctorate in the medical sciences. Like all the frog-people, Johnathan Lewis grew up in the Daladier Swamp, back when his name was something much more like those of his people, Aedezzix Raphfallox.
Johnathan, long served as the official doctor of the Grizzilickei royal family. He used his ample pay to fund his research into the medical arts in hopes to cure a strange disease affecting his people. He would often take long trips into human lands to study with famous doctors and alchemists, slowly adopting their culture and science, bringing both to his more primitive people.
On one of his extended trips, the pregnant queen took ill with a mysterious disease. Johnathan was contacted by the kingdom's royal wizard Skizzix and returned to treat the young queen. After doing everything he could to save the queen, including injecting her with strange chemicals he brought back from human lands, he managed to save her life, and her unborn children.
Month’s later, a prince was born, the heir to the throne. But something was amiss. Like some of the commoner grippli, the tad-prince was born deformed, profoundly retarded, and with several extra limbs. Johnathan believed that the prince suffered from the same disease affecting the common folk, the king disagreed. Due to Skizzix’s council, the royal family believed themselves above the common folk, and therefore immune to the diseases that would affect them. Instead, Johnathan was blamed, and his “evil human medicine.”
When he was unable to cure the prince of his retardation, he was exiled from the swamp kingdom that was his home. He now seeks to clear his name through further study, and hopes to cure the affliction affecting so many of his people.
