About John Terra
I've been a role-player since 1978, where I cut my teeth on Dungeons and Dragons (you know, the boxed set with the wizard and fighter about to attack a menacing red dragon perched on its treasure hoard).
I've done a bum-load (official unit of measurement as of 1989) of freelance writing for the role-playing game industry starting in 1984 or thereabouts. I've written for Dragon, Dungeon, RPGA, TSR, West End Games, FASA, Flying Buffalo, Mayfair Games, KenzerCo, and WotC.
These days, I'm a basic corporate drone, doing editing and writing of a most decidedly non-gaming nature, but there you are.
I'm married to an amazingly hot woman who also shares my passion for gaming, as well as for horror movies, all sorts of other spooky stuff, and weird humor. Together, we have a blended family of four offspring and one black cat, sort of The Brady Bunch meets The Addams Family.
I currently play Pathfinder (can't stand 4E), Call of Cthulhu, Shadowrun, and Paranoia XP. I am also very sad that the Illuminati: New World Order CCG is no longer an active game. I do enjoy an occasional game of Munchkin, Nuclear War/Escalation, Bananagrams, and/or old Avalon Hill wargames.
I don't have a website yet, but my wife and I are working on the idea. However, I AM on Facebook.
