Backstory

Born to a family of The Pale Horse worshipping militia members in Alkenstar, John always felt... wrong, living in the dry city of Alkenstar. When he was a child, he looked longingly at the few rivers he could see, watching as boats came and went carrying shipments. He, very intensely, craved the open sea he would not get a chance to see for a long, long while.

It was a long, long voyage for the 35 year old militiaman to make it to the Shackles, the one place he had heard of that open sea voyage was NECESSARY, and the concept of piracy... it called to him like a siren. John does not know it, but being a pirate is quite literally in his blood, as one of his ancestors (very, very distant) is the former Hurricane King, and his family kept it from him for as long as they could, but he eventually found his way to the Shackles, and found himself drugged and sacked after some lady he tried hooking up with in the bar tricked him, leading him to where he is now.
