Born in New York, 1864, John grew up a normal boy. In The Civil War he was drafted by the US Army. During the war, he caught a bayonet through the heart. Then he woke up. He thought it was strange but then, World War I, World War II, he kept on living. His aging slowed shortly after puberty to an almost dead stop, effectively keeping him looking in his early twenties. Returning from World War I, John was reckless. He joined up with a group of robbers nicknamed the “Newton Boys.” He had fun, they didn’t kill, which he enjoyed. Made the jobs more challenging. He spend half a decade with them until “The Rondout Train Robbery.” During this train heist, something went wrong. One of the brothers decided the business should be family only and shot John. This assault lead to the gangs eventual capture, as the rest of the family tried to get John medical care. John made sure he “died” in the hospital so he would not be processed. He later sneaked out and escaped taking the fortune he had acquired to spend the next years traveling the world. As the world slipped into the modern age, John had gone through most of his fortune. He took one of his aliases “Dan Cooper” and hijacked a Boeing 747. With the ransom money he demanded in hand, “D. B. Cooper” as the media dubbed him, leaped from the plane with no chance of surviving. John took the money and dumped a few bills in a nearby river so the lack of a body would not seem suspicious and fled back home. John realized at this time he had to stop this life of crime if he was going to continue hiding under the radar. Technology and Forensic science were getting too good for him to not be identified. He settled down into his old family home, selling his home to himself every few years to a new identity each time.
