Appearance:

IMAGE
If Jimon’s attire seems to be fancier than needed for orc-slaying, that’s because it is. Once out in the real world, he wasted no time in buying a nice set of clothes and a few commodities – a frugal lifestyle isn’t for him.
He is small even for a gnome, with a wiry build and pink skin; his hair are of a dark golden color, and sports a fancy small mustache and goatee.

Background:

Jimon’s first memory is that of being a giant himself. Only later he would realize that he is actually quite small – he was just surrounded by smaller creatures at the time.
Jimon was a foundling in the Sprucecone Glade in the Fangwood of northern Nirmathas. Inhabited by a small group of fey who didn’t quite agree with the corrupted leadership of the demonic dryad Arlantia, the glade was mostly hidden from humanity. Jimon’s foster parents were the brownie Floppiwil and the korred Ferno, and they grew him as one of their own, teaching him the slightly dissonant values of the feys: Floppiwil taught him how to find solace in trickery and pranks; Ferno how to remember everything, generously rewarding kindness and taking vengeance for smallest slight; and Duke Philostis, the Satyr that ruled the Glade, taught him how indulging in hedonistic pleasure is a quality rather than a flaw. The Glade’s inhabitants developed the connection to the First World already present in the young gnome and taught him his first tricks of innate magic.

Upon reaching adulthood on his 40th birthday, Floppiwil, Ferno and the others told him of the day he was found.
They showed him the tombs of his parents, that Ferno himself had dug and covered in beautiful, flowers – a magical corner of rest and color in the forest.
They showed him the massive club of the hill giant that had hunted down his parents, and told him how they had found a spear deep into the giant’s eyesocket, with Jimon’s mother, Maele, still grasping it even with most of her bones shattered.
The gnomes died protecting their child from the giant. They had left him his name ‘Aldanjimellon’ and a small pendant with a green rock.
Jimon looked at his foster parents.
“Deceit is your weapon” said Floppiwil.
“Pleasure is your armor” said Philostis.
“Revenge is your way” said Ferno.
So Jimon said goodbye to the Glade. He traveled north through Lastwall and southern Belkzen, following rumors of giants, learning as much as he can so that one day he could get vengeance on the kin that had killed his parents. Eventually he might have gone to Varisia and the Mindspin Mountains, lands known for their large number of giants, if a sudden sickness hadn’t caught him while passing through Trunau. He’s been there almost two months now, first slowly healing in the Sanctuary of the Iomedaen temple, then doing small jobs to repay Tyari and the others who helped him (“reward kindness with generosity”). His charming, yet subtly disturbing way has earned him both friends and enemies in the small town, and though still a bit restless, Jimon is enjoying his new acquaintances.

Personality:
Jimon’s values are those of the feys and as such can be quite different from those of a normal society. Trickery and deceit are natural to him, but never in a cruel way. He approaches any situation with curiosity, and keeps good track of those who are nice to him and those who aren’t – he is the best of friends to the first kind, but a vengeful little pain to the other.
He keeps high the memeory of his mother Maele through her pendant, and while knowing nothing of her, he believes both her and his father to have been great heroes.
While his quest to become a giantslayer is set, he knows how to enjoy life in the meantime, and brings a spark of color in the grey and grim Trunau.

Scenario 1:

Quote:
"Oi there, another one awake! Another awake. Maybe this one tells Old Brulk'tha a pretty tale. Maybe this one doesn't fill her belly tonight! Hurhurhur!" Her voice is wheezy but booming, and her jowls jiggle with each word.

Jimon lies still, cursing under his breath when she realizes he is awake Oh this is lovely. She wants a story. Think now, think fast, tall one! What would she like? the answer comes pretty fast to his mind.

He gets up in the cage and cracks his neck “My oh my, do I have the most marvelous story for you!" don’t overshoot, use simpler language, come on!For you know, there was four guys: Dien the elf, Grom the dwarf, and Flynn the gnome!" he counts on his fingers as he speaks. “And there was Tragok, the mightiest of giants!" Jimon’s face is intense and intriguing, but his fingers are twitching with tension Is she a hill giant? Is she an ogre? If she’s an ogre, would she be offended or happy to be called a giant? Let’s go with happy.Tragok, who wanted to eat them all! And so Dien the elf built his house in the forest, atop the tallest of trees, and figured himself… ehm… and thought he was safe from Tragok. But Tragok grabbed the trunk and shook and pushed and kicked and Dien fell down with half his house, breaking his neck with a sound SNAP! And Tragok cooked him with mushrooms and chewed on his bones, and in the end he dipped the pointed ears in honey for dessert!"
The gnome takes a short pause to reorganize his thoughts “So Grom the dwarf built his house underground, with thick walls of stone and iron doors. But Tragok hammered and bashed and punched the walls and they all fell down! And Tragok ripped Grom’s limbs and ate them juicy and bloody and when nature called, he used the dwarf’s beard to clean himself!" Yes, a bit of toilet humor, that you like for sure.
So Tragok came to the house of Flynn the gnome, which was a nice wooden cabin up on a hill. And Flynn opened the door to Tragok and said: if you don’t eat me, I’ll travel the world and bring back the strongest and bravest of giantesses for you!” Jimon takes a deep breath time to roll the diceSo here I am, because I am Flynn! And Tragok awaits you, fierce Brulk’tha, I can take you to him! Of course, you’ll have to get me out of here…"

Does this need a Bluff check? If so, here it is.

Scenario 2:
Quote:
"Rumors flit about this place like a bee to the flowers. But all seem to agree that your. . . skills are worth every copper and more. Tell me then, friend: what brings you here and how can Ingmund convince you to allow him the honor of employing one such as yourself?"

Jimon sits back on his chair, relaxed, arms spread out to his sides “Because I don’t need to convince you." he slowly reaches out to horn, grabs it, and sips with deliberate calm. “Those people who told you about my skills? They never saw me in action. I could just tell you to hire me, and you’ll probably do it." he leans forward, elbows on the table “Because my talent is making people do what I want, and have them do it with a smile." he looks carefully at the expression on Ingmund’s face as he says so.

What do you offer? A job as a caravan guard? I can politely ask the soldiers at the bridge to waive the passing fee for you, and they’ll do it. If we face orc raiders, I’ll have them sitting and scratching their heads like dumb monkeys instead of attacking."

He eschews theatricality for the last bit “I’m sorry, didn’t mean to sound ominous. But since I cannot showcase my skill with a bow or a sword, I needed to make you understand that my words are my weapon."

While basically true, what I said is widely exaggerated, so if you feel like there’s the need for a Bluff check, go ahead.

Scenario 3:

Jimon raises an eyebrow, quite nonchalant about being trapped in a tomb “My pleasure, Arlanghar. My name’s Jimon, and most of my appellatives aren’t as great as yours. Nobody ever called me brave let alone wise. Sly might apply, so we have that in common." he stalls for time, his best smile on while he talks to the empty room.

You don’t mind if I check out your room, do you Arlanghar? It is quite nice, and I feel like you wish to keep me here for a long time, so I’ll take a look around." Jimon murmurs a simple incantation, bats his eyelids and suddenly magical auras in the room start popping up to his vision. This better give me a clue... I don't think I can sweet-talk my way out of this one...

If possible, I’ll take 20 on Perception; then cast detect magic, looking around the room, making Spellcraft checks as needed.
