Jim had been going through the books, pausing at those to do with Engineering of the Planes, especially the Elemental Plane of Air. He looks over to Sakura in agreement. And then there are some groups in whom the leaders would wish to keep knowledge away from their people in order to more easily control them. But, I'd say it's not the knowledge that is dangerous, it's what people decide to do with it

Jim doesn't have any reason to refuse so he sits down and attempts to pick up a food item. Assuming that succeeds, he takes a bite once the others have done their prayers etc, thinking that the hosts should partake first.

Jim looks like an elf at first glance, but a second one reveals he's actually a sylph. He's also obviously a gunslinger wearing leather as he's packing a pistol in a holster on one hip and a musket slug over his back. A gladius rests on the other hip.

Grelthe wins the swimming challenge, prompting Jim to practice more. Also, for some reason, he's learning Sylvan as well as Aquan.

As for the burial ceremony, it was obvious that he was making it up as he went.

After reporting and writing his report, Jim takes the body of the pixie to a sunlit woodland grove that had flowers in it. Here, he reverently buries the body.

I'm sorry I had to kill you .. but ... anyway, I hope you find peace here - and I hope this is a much better place for you to be than some damp and dark dungeon.

After covering up the body, he plants a daffodil bulb over the body.

Fly free little one he whispers as he sprinkles water on top before leaving.

Later on, he asks Greithe if she would like to go on a date, involving a picnic and swimming - and, of course, he acts as the perfect gentleman.

Jim isn't wasting blanched bullets on this. He draws his weapon and swaps out the Ghost Touch bullet for a regular one.
