It was a nice roll, and very timely. Jherrine would have made a bad enemy. Jherrine thinks for a moment. Well, he was tall. She looks up at Gax towering over her, Like you. He was a half-elf--which explains the tallness. He had pointed ears and . . . um eyes of some sort. Oh, I don't know. Those half-elves all look the same. Besides he had the hood of his cloak pulled up so I couldn't see a whole lot. The half-elf thing ought to narrow it down for you though. When she hears Bullpup, Jherrine turns to him, looking at him with a strange glint in her eye. You dwarfs, you always have the strangest humor.
Gax:
As you come closer, you see that the man is dying. He is having trouble breathing. Luckily you have a vague memory of someone treating something like this in court. You are able to stabilize his breathing. He is still unconscious, but he will live. Jherrine looks straight at Gax, ignoring Tobia's comments for the time being. Thank you, she says. Then turning to one of the barmaids that is still on her feat, You heard the man, go get Mother Adrian. The woman runs off and Jherrine finally turns to the crowd. Those of you not injured in any way, you can go. We're closed for the night. If you have rooms here, they are still open to you, just leave the common room. As the people begin to move leaving only a few behind, Jherrine finally turns to Tobia, her eyes nearly on fire. No this does not happen every night. Especially not this man. He is one of the few good men here. But a little bit ago, he just stood up and began babbling nonsense. None of it made sense. When that other man stood up and yelled at him they started fighting. That was when we noticed the other things. It all happened at once. But, I caught sight of a man . . . her face firms up, looking even harder, casting a spell just before he left. He cast a spell and touched that man she points to the man with the boils, then ran out. I tried to catch him, but with all that was happening, I could not. He melted into the crowd.
Jherrine laughs and mutters under her breath children. . . . She turns back to Bullpup smiling. That is a great buckle there. I hope you enjoy it. As far as your question, I haven't seen a weasel or a teapot, but I'll keep an eye out for them. Now go back and find your parents. And tell them that we do have cheap baths available here, if needed.
Tobia: Henneska shows no sign of noticing that you didn't respond. DC 20 Sense Motive (Tobia Only):
Henneska is too overwhelmed with joy at having found people to help him to notice your lack of reaction. Bullpup: You get the first door open no problem, but it's empty. As you close it and begin towards the second door, Jherrine comes over to you.
What are you doing little dwarfling? Don't you know that those are private dining rooms? People pay for privacy in those. You'll have to pay, or move out to the common room. She pauses for a moment, then tilts her head and narrows her eyes. Where are your parents. You don't look old enough to be wandering around here on your own. I kind of went with the idea that gully dwarfs are smaller and so many people think they are just young dwarfs (like halflings)
Updated background:
Tsorvak grew up in Isger. He wasn't sure how his parents died--he couldn't remember and no one knew--but it didn't matter because he had what he needed in the Sisters of Erinyes--a group of female monks who hoped to become erinyes when they died. They took him in as a young child and taught him in the ways of Asmodeus and local Martial arts. He grew to care for these sisers as they taught him about power. He was highly attracted to the power promised by the “vampiric” martial styles, as it is a great way to empower the strong at the expense of those who are weak. While he never felt a strong connection to his Dwarven ancesters, he could feel the call of stone works and mountains in his blood. He never truly acted on it, but it did lead him to combine the vampiric martial style with one that mimics the strength of stone. When he grew old enough to leave the Sisters, Tsorvak began to move spreading the glory and order of Asmodeus. First he traveled Isger and Cheliax, but soon he decided it was time to move on to better and grander things. He eventually decided that he should go to Talingarde, a country full of heretics whose simple ways were holding them in servitude to a god who was far too young to know anything. To think, these people believe they get something from being good to those who can’t defend themselves. It was laughable. Updated personality:
Tsorvak is very disciplined. He holds tightly to the order in Asmodeus' religion. Some would describe him as a zealot. He is very ambitious. He always obeys those above him, but as he can, he undermines them for their spot of power. He is constantly looking for loopholes in any contract/bargain whatever it may be. His thought being that they are there to support those who are smart enough to find them. He considers the weak to be dispensable. His ultimate quest is perfection of power in himself. But that doesn’t mean he’s against working with others. Most times, that is the best way to gain power, and so he never disposes of anyone useful. Because he does not feel much connection to his Dwarven ancestry, he keeps his beard shaven. This has caused him some trouble in social matters, but he sticks fast to his decision. Updated Crime:
Tsorvak is guilty of Heresy. He knew he had to be subtle about his preaching in Talingrade, but he did not realize how subtle he needed to be. He avoided teaching of Asmodeus, but spoke of the inferiority of Iomedae instead. Thus, it was not long before Tsorvak was caught. He had only been in Talingrade for a month when he spoke to a woman, complaining about how young Iomedae was, trying to plant in her some doubt in her god’s ways. But it turned out she worked with Sir Balin. From that day, he was a marked and hunted man. He decided it was time to move to another city, but on his way out, he was stopped by a guard. His lack of a beard pointed directly to him in the crowd. He tried to run, but his luck was not with him. Sir Balin was nearby and quickly caught Tsorvak. I just looked over those old ones and wow! That’s what I get for writing them late at night during finals week. Here are some updated, better background stuff.
