About Jezelyn "Celestial Song Dragon"

Jezelyn lived in a small apartment above the local tavern/inn where she performed regularly, with song, dance, and magic (dancing lights/prestidigitation). She was pleasant, honest, and, when not performing, quiet enough to be considered mysterious. In her down time, she enjoyed writing in her journal: sometimes about her observations of people, sometimes about her magic, and often crafting poetry, some of which was used in her performances. When she left the tavern building, she liked to spend time reading in the local library (often about arcane theory and spells, but also on a wide variety of topics, including adventure stories), or meditating at the local temple, which she found peaceful and refreshing. While at the temple, she occasionally helped out in the infirmary, picking up some skill at healing.
Although Jezelyn was mostly content with her life, something had been nagging at her, some deep inner calling, urging her to get out there and do some real GOOD with her life. She just didn't know HOW ... until she saw the broadsheet posted in the tavern:
Salvation
...departing for the exotic Far East, the ancient land of Kotei...
Something told Jezelyn that this was it. Her destiny awaited.
She set off to live her own exciting adventure story...
...The ship crashed and Jezelyn died, but her story didn't end there.
Some dragon monks of Kotei raised her and several others who had been on the ship some 300 years later, trained them, and sent them out on mission to help Kotei.

Background:
Jezelyn moved to the city with her mother when she was a child. She doesn't remember much before that. She doesn't remember her father, and the only thing her mother would say about him whenever she asked was, "He was wonderful." The poignant mixture of fondness and sadness on her mother's face whenever she said that, combined with her faraway look, always prevented Jezelyn from pressing harder for answers.
Jezelyn's mother found work cooking and cleaning at the local tavern/inn, and the two of them moved into the same small apartment above it that Jezelyn inhabited before her voyage to the East. As Jezelyn grew older, and both her charms and natural magical talents became obvious, she started performing at the tavern to earn some extra money for her family. After a few years, it became their only source of income, as Jezelyn's mother grew too ill to continue working. Toward the end, her mother was nursed in the infirmary at the local temple, and that's when young Jezelyn first got to know the priests and priestesses there. Jezelyn's beloved mother passed away when Jezelyn was 15, and she'd been living and performing on her own for four years before her journey East.
