"A little help, Rolo?" Jewel says, trying to not let her wound slow her down.

She aims and shoots again at the same target, hoping her focused fire will put one of them down so that they can get to the scientists without added risk.

With her previous target now out of easy range, Jewel curses and moves towards the eastern... thing. She moves towards the foe and takes aim, then fires!

"Damnit!, hold still!"

Jewel rushes forward to the edge of the platform, aims, and shoots at the strange monder on the left.

"I think we want to prioritize the lab. Though we might need to take a look at the power core if there any offline systems. But that seems unlikely."

"You're right. Let me see what those computers have to say."

Jewel moves to one of the workstations and begins tapping away. She stares for several seconds, reading over what she learns. "Huh. This lab was studying the psychic properties of Aucturn's remnants. And they had a pretty hands on approach. One of the researchers writes about a vision where one of... midwives urged him to seek the Azlanti Star Emoire. Another hallucinated being stranded on floating platform above a purple cloud, and they were with someone they didn't recognize. But... Wait a sec. Are they describing me??"

Jewel is visibly unnerved by this revelation.

"Terrible thing, what happened to those two" Jewel says of the two dead Shirrens in the room. She nonetheless goes through their pockets to see if they have anything interesting. "Might want to search through this mess to see what's what."

Bursting out from her hiding space, Jewel rushes into the room and takes aim at the freakish talking monster. She pops off a shot, the weapon's silencer barely registering at retort.

She reloads from behind Helianthoides, then ducks out to take another shot.

Jewel moves quietly, fully expecting that when someone inevitably finds danger that she'll benefit from having kept a low profile.

"Nearest door first, agreed."

Jewel holds her pistol at the ready, happy to have her own personal Dunklezahn-like pritector.

I took the liberty of updating tokens on the map

"Well that's not good," Jewel says at the sight of the blood trail. She once more draws her pistol. "But I think we could all see the signs that something bad has happened here. Let's follow that trail. It'd be nice to find a survivor."

"Whoa. That was a heckuva vivid trip."

When she spots Rolo looking around with his magic eye she decides to help out by looking with her regular eyes.

"Oh, hey. Good idea," Jewel replies, doing a mental 180 as she goes from looking for danger to sating her curious technical mind. "I bet there's all kinds of juicy tidbits on this..."

Jewel also draws forth her flashlight, letting the light quickly scan the area before settling on the dead lashunta. "Well crap. This can't be good. Looks like this place had visitors before us, and they weren't of the friendly variety."

She says this, then draws her pistol from its holster. A silencer is attached to the barrel of the weapon. "Better safe than dead, right?"

Jewel, like her father, is naturally drawn to solving problems at the press of a keyboard. She resists, instead taking a moment to look around with her keen eyes.

"What an interesting find! I say we check it out!"

Computers: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Arcana/Occultism: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

"Yeah, I saw it too. Conical shape, spires or tendrils coming out of it. It all moved randomly too. Definitely something occult about it."

As they make their landing, Jewel punches a few commands in her wrist console, getting a reading of things.

"Huh. Might need to recalibrate this thing."

Piloting: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Well now... If that's a fail I will hero point

Jewel is very excited by the ship, but is less familiar with the controls than she'd like.

”Dibs don’t apply when you’re flying with the best the sky has to offer, chief.”

"You're right, of course. But since I'm the best AND I called dibs, it's the polite thing to do."

Jewel chitters excitedly at the two ysoki joining the group. "Pipp and Pipsqueak! I can't wait for the others to be so confused about who is who!"

Realizing that there might suddenly be some competition, she quickly adds, "Dibs on the pilot's chair!"

Her mind has already drifted off to thoughts about flying the Zephyr Blue. She has no more questions.

A ysoki in a colourful street clothes listens intently to the briefing, excitement apparent in her mousey grey features. "Fun! This sounds easy enough. Just bring the token to Arta, then see what she's up to. I assume she'll be happy to share what she's been doing."

"What ship have you got for us? Can I get a tech spec download? I know the Pegasus class ships well, as it's what my dad likes to fly around in. But I'm good with whatever."
