About Jeroph Klein

Born into a world of nobility and social standing, Jeroph's grace and wit drew attention. Ever the graceful dancer, and an expert with his voice, in both song and jest. Jeroph has long entertained the well standing members of the court.

Popularity has it's price; as it makes one a target. In the delicate climate of faux smiles, intriguing lies, and vies for favor; earning a smile of a lord or lady is a challenge to another's position. Losing one's place is at best an insult, at worst treason, but most commonly it is considered a challenge.

Court duels are often performed in court or just outside of it, and most warriors rarely wear their best protection. Those who live by the sword are perplexed by Jeroph bladework that is as swift as his tongue, as he makes a mockery of his foes in both combat and courtly behehavior. A caster, usually finds that without aid of interference cohorts and allies, Jeroph's whip makes them quite the fool.

In court, it is well known that Jeroph has not challenged any of his naysayers to duels. He has humbly accepted those who have challenged him, and offers one chance to decline. As he does not take his standing seriously. Once blood must be drawn he is resolute in both making a mockery of his opponent and their preoccupations. He prefers to spare his opponents to appear more merciful, but also so that his foes live with their shame. Dueling to the death is not something he fears, but see's as unecessary.

Jeroph is of the Klein family who have a standing tradition of well liked commanders. His family is one of the three to found the Order of the Dragon. Many of brethren are well respected Paladins, Cavaliers, and Decorated Soldiers. While not as chivalrous as his family line, he is well liked among the nobles and officers. As Jeroph is couragous, clever, and makes a show of his all too often occuring duels. Though he's yet to go to war, Jeroph has spilt a far amount of blood. House Jarl recently lost a favored son to Jeroph. In an effort to maintain civil relations between the House Klein and Jarl, Jeroph has been banished from the court until he contributes in a manner worthy of his Family Name.

And so we find Jeroph on the roads of the world, looking to make his mark in his family line. Yet, finding common folk more genuinely appreciating his talents. Jeroph himself has become quite fond of these young maidens and their way of fawning over a dashing swordsman.

Whether he becomes a legendary hero or not, Jeroph is living his "exile" to the fullest. Every night brings a new tavern, new stories, new faces, and challenges to his perplexing martial prowess. Mixing banter, wordplay, swordplay, and self confidence leaves quite a trail of tales.

((He's somewhat inspired from Oliver Platt's portrayal of Porthos in the 3 musketeers.))

Traits: Prehensile Whip (equipment) and Threatening Defender (Combat)
