Well, the second one was that he did have a mount, but I figured out a way to neutralize it, and then kite all day.

And I meant that it was not good to kite with a gunslinger because guns only have advantages over bows in close combat.

And it's more feat intensive, which is problematic for a level 1 character.

I have identified some flaws in being a gunslinger, so I will change over to being more of a mounted archer instead of a mounted gunner.

Good match. Also, you know that you had a chance for a crit there. :P

Female Human Gunslinger 1

We can go with that. In the future, use preview to see the result of your dice roll, so you don't edit your posts.

My post was in response to the thing where you were 25 feet away, so I didn't even know that you were close enough. But I will go along with it.

Jen pulls out her composite longbow and fires at you with the tangleshot bag, targetting your touch AC.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Then her horse goes even farther away, up to 375 feet to your right.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Aha, a cavalier without a horse is like a gunslinger without a gun!

Drawing her musket, she fires point blank at the poor guy, targetting touch AC and quickly reloads.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 for 1d12 ⇒ 3

Then she spurs her horse again, fleeing 200 feet to the right of the running fella.

Keep in mind that a calvalier with medium armor has a movement speed of only 20 feet. Also, you can click preview to see the results of your dice roll.

The horse

You still have your turn. :P

Female Human Gunslinger 1

You're the coward!

Jen tries again with the tangleshot.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

The horse gets a -2 to attack rolls and -4 to dexterity, and now must make a DC 10 reflex save (Remember the -4 from dex) or be glued to the floor. Even if it saves, it only moves at half speed.

Then she spurs her horse to a run the other way, ending up 150 feet to your left.

Mwahahahahahaha

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen notches a tangleshot arrow on her composite longbow and fires a ranged touch attack against the Gerdarme's horse.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

It misses. Then she flees, prodding her horse into a run, going 200 feet to the right, leaving 250 feet between the two.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen enters the arena, confident from her previous victory. This time, she has a little something up her sleeve...

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21: Initiative

We're still fighting, yes?

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Sure. For today, I'll be around for the next fifty minutes maybe?

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Yippee!

Jen takes a victory lap around the stadium.

(You were in charging distance though. And if you're not wearing medium armor or heavier, you could've run 4x your speed, which would've caught up with me)

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Yeah, that's fine.

Ahaha, foolish barbarian.

Since the barbarian happens to be just within the first range increment, the musket targets touch AC again! Not only that, running causes the barbarian to lose dexterity to AC unless he also has the run feat.

She fires and reloads again:

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 for 1d12 ⇒ 8 damage. Then she kicks her horse into a gallop, putting her 80 feet to the right of the Barbarian, at the edge of the arena (I'll just say it's the edge, since the arena probably isn't super huge)

Female Human Gunslinger 1

I don't think you can actually do that, because run is a full round action. http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Run

Would you like to reconsider? There isn't a difference, since you missed with the dagger anyways, but if you'd like, you could do something else.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen acts fast, leveling her musket towards Sphar's face and firing. Since it's within the first range increment, it targets touch AC.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 dealing 1d12 ⇒ 4 damage. Just as fast, she uses her grit to reload it almost instantly. Then she kicks the side of her horse (auto succeeds on ride check with the bonus she has on it), moving 100 feet away, leaving the two gladiators 130 feet apart.

Come and get me!

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Uh, you might want to use the dice roller built into the forum. How to do it is described in the "how to format your text" spoiler.

Well, we don't strictly need a battle map. We could just keep track of things in relation to each other. I suppose that we should start around 30 feet apart?

Good with that?

My character is right in my avatar. And, waiting on you.

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Jen the GM is playing Jen The Gunslinger Gladiator, the Gunslinger Gladiator that fights both using the musket and the lance.

We could get a judge if we have any disputes?

Female Human Gunslinger 1

Dundundundundundundun

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20: Initiative

Sitting astride her sexy horse, Jen prepares to face down her combatant.

What kind of terrains do we have? Arena, Forest, Mountainous, Plains?

I'll strike down forest.

I'm up if you're up.

Here or will there be another thread?

Yeah, that sounds good.

More killy less talky though. I challenge thee, Eben, of the Mwangi Expanse, to a fight in the arena!

I like Sphar's idea, about getting points based on the opponent's level.

Sadly my gladiator does not fit the traditional gladiator mould, but more of a Western sheriff motif. :P
