Physical Description:

Jchk'hah - who quite happily goes by his very ironic nickname of "Popper" - is clearly disfigured. He is stunted for a shirren at 4'11", his mating arms are withered and useless, and his mouth slightly distended, making his mouth ache while eating and making verbal communication difficult. Adding to his distasteful image is his hyper-gregarious and somewhat boastful attitude.

When not gardening and studying various plants and herbs for medicinal properties, he is nearly always found charting the stars in immaculate white-and-silver robes emblazoned with a golden six-starred holy symbol, marking him as a religious functionary (and therefore scholar) of the god Ibra.

Bot Info:

Popper grew up being picked on due to his deformities caused by a traumatic hatching. He overcompensates for the resulting insecurities by being something of a braggart. It makes him relatively off-putting, even compared to other shirrens, but if he notices, he doesn't show it. Despite his bragging of exploding people's heads with his mind (which he absolutely has not done, though he has caused some serious injuries with his mind thrust spell in the past) Popper approaches most situations with trepidation bordering on fear, which he usually overcompensates for with more bragging. Despite this, he rarely makes decisions for himself, rather letting others make important decisions for the group and then going along with it (though sometimes glibly attempting to pass it off as his own idea).

When combat breaks out, his trepidation vanishes, and while he won't run directly into the middle of a firefight, he will often take unnecessary risks, such as running out of cover to drag a wounded or unconscious ally to safety, or putting himself between an ally and an enemy if he thinks he can protect them. Popper is desperate to prove himself as a powerful wielder of the mystic arts, but above all he does not forget his place; he knows he is a healer first, and a combat caster second.
