At first there is shock as Jaykae tries to grasp the realities of the green stuff become this larger ooze then she fights it off to do something about it, playing her flute to distract it. Initiative: Action: Bard song distraction.
Jaykae shakes her head as she looks at the stuff while checking her memory for any natural creature the green stuff could be or if there was any similarities.
The smell seemingly muddled any thoughts of such living forms so she went about working on a new tune about them using her flute.
Because Garruth likes to play ... patti-cakes? *blush* You look mighty fine Alik. *blushes again*
Jaykae follows along with Ruika nervously as she eyes the room with great suspicion. She does not like that pile of ickiness and her wrinkled nose shows the disgust plainly. "Are we sure that thing is safe?" The younger twin says as she cautiously picks her way to beside Ruika at K9.
Jaykae finally gets her mind back on the armour and puts it on, turning around and around to try to see as much of it as she can. Finally she smiles and turns to her sister and the cat man, putting her arms out to show off. "What do you think?" She says, almost forgetting that they were in a dungeon then notices the skeletons again, "Oop. Let's get going." She rushes off towards the others and slows down as Ruika moves to K30. She slows to behind Alik and peeks around his frame.
Jaykae hurries up as she notices that she'd been lollygagging about with a tune in her mind and had fallen behind with her sister and Garruth. She notices the armour and comes forward to see the colour and make. "Will it fit me?" She asks as she gets to the armour then looks up at Ruika, "Oh. Oh? I can make a song of your light, the way that shines upon you and your visage ... your visage shines within the glow, mystical light upon your brow ... oh that can fit! Ruika!" The twin beams while still holding the armour but has forgotten all about it with the lyrics running around in her head just tumbling to come out.
Jaykae looks about curiously and chuckles as Ruika gets teased by the big cat man. The larger woman was taking it very well so she saw no reason not to chuckle when she wanted to. Her eyes kept moving about the room and her ears were listening to everything she could hear. Song ideas were always coming to her mind and her new friends were giving her quite a few.
Jaykae is beaming with the praise now and is happy to be with the group. She looks towards her sister to see how she is doing and tries not to bump into anyone.
"Hey there's a mace in there. This one here but it's probably too heavy for me to get." Jaykae looks up at the others with puppy eyes as she is curious.
Jaykae will stay with the others as closely as possible, her eyes darting from one dead to the next to see if there was anything interesting or unusual about them. If she sees anything that looks of interest (shiny, jewelish, like money bags or looking like books or musical instruments) she will take a closer look.
Jaykae nods and follows, her nose twitching from the smell of the rotten here but she also plays a tune lightly on her flute for courage. The twin believes that it might be a good time to bring up everyone's spirits as this scent makes her feel down. It must also have an uninspiring effect on everyone else.
Jaykae shuffles her feet as she looks at them, clearly downcast as she sighs then looks up as Corneilious gets there, "We're all ready, right?" She gulps then takes a deep breath, "Might as well get it over with." The younger twin moves to just behind Garruth as she wants to be ready to play her music as soon as anything starts and she really does not want to see everything too clearly. The cat man is big enough to hide behind for avoiding whatever she feels is not pleasant.
Jaykae stands, disappointed that the pugwampi was acting so ignorant to her attempts to avoid what would surely become a slaughter. She looks to her sister trying to gulp down her distaste for what they were going to have to do then turns sharply when Ruika speaks, telling them to search the rest of the area. The twin dejectedly goes to CA8 and then CA9 to check out the room beside the one Ruika is in as she does not remember where the other lady had gone, her mind not quite in the now. She sighs as she looks about then starts playing a melancholy tune on her flute.
Jaykae moves along to JK8 during the time the others are investigating and looks about curiously but does not leave the hallway as she wishes to be available if anyone needs a hand. She looks at the pugwampi and gives him a timid smile hoping that their way of facial expressions and body movements say the same as they do for her. "He's just being saucy." Jaykae says to her sister as she kneels down by the pugwampi. She takes out some meat jerky and takes a bite then offers the rest to the little creature as she eats the food. There is no way to know how the other would react but she hopes that he would understand that it is an offer of friendship and not view it as something else.
"You are like the toms I used to play with." Jaykae chuckles as Garruth continues to snuffle her hair. She seems quite amused with his attentions, "This one orange tom would run after one girl then another and never know where to go and never got anything because he couldn't figure out what he wanted." She laughs like a school girl, "Remember Scamper, Keiko? Her moood sours though as the pugwampi scoffs after Ruika mentions the thought of working together and looks up pleadingly as she moves along, "Is it because he doesn't want to work together or he doesn't believe peace can be had? Or does he not believe ..." Her eyes become wet as she thinks that they may have to cull a whole society of beings, "Maybe it's a mistake? I don't want to commit genocide!"
Jaykae ponders this then kneels beside the knoll putting a hand out, "Please tell him we want to work together and live in peace alongside each other if possible. Will your people be up to a challenge of peace with us and trade? We also have healers who can help when needed. If we work together anything is possible." She looks at the pugwampi pleadingly so that he would realize that she meant what she said then up to Ruika as she does not want to annihilate another culture. The pugwampis seemed odd and ugly to them but they were just different.
"Uhmm... Ruika? Should you be asking the little guy if there are more of them? Maybe that was the only group of puggies." Jaykae wonders if the pugwampi would answer such a question, "Maybe he will be nice enough to tell us if there is more trouble around that he knows of."
Jaykae giggles as Garruth is pushed from Ruika then smiles up at him, "You can sniff my hair if you need to." She starts walking going to CD-10 and whispers to him if he does sniff her hair. Garruth:
"I think she actually liked that. Don't tell her I said that though." The twin giggles then starts playing a jaunty jig on her flute for fun.
"Are you all alright?" Asks Jaykae as she comes closer but avoids the door to the new room. She had noticed the others' reactions and could smell the moss from where she was easily. The twin moves to CB16.
Jaykae stands with her sister and looks to her with a bit of awe. Turning her head slightly she notices Garruth taking note of them and then sighs. She nudges her cheek on her sister's shoulder then steps forward with her unsure of herself. Keiko had always been the more confident of the two of them a but both of them had the same endurance. She knew that Keiko could handle herself with a wound but Jaykae still couldn't help but care for her. The young lady turns, going past Garruth and stops at BV-16 while looking about as she does so. She realizes that Cornellious was a book lover just as she was and smiles at the large man, "When we come back I believe that I can fix the books. Their might be something in there worth a song!"
"I have mending!" Jaykae calls out as she hears Cornelius's plea to Ruika and Ruika's answer. She continues to care after her sister's feet, giving them a good rub.
When Keiko sits to examine her foot Jaykae gasps lightly realizing that she had not noticed. The twin kneels beside her sister and helps to remove the glass and clean the feet trying to make them less painful. Heal: "I should have noticed sooner, Keiko. Normally I know when you have been wounded.
Jaykae chuckles as her sister speaks to her and gives Garruth an awkward glance, "I know but he's so fluffy and fun to play with." She says as she turns her head away from the cat man to give her sister a playful wink. As Garruth comes up to them she rubs her cheek against his then waits to see what her sister does. It might be funny if she did nip Garruth for getting between the two of them and attempting to get a nuzzle. It certainly wouldn't hurt him and even if Keiko growled at him the man would probably find it amusing, or as amusing as Jaykae would find it. The twin puts that in the back of her mind and looks shyly up at him while humming a sweet tune Keiko would know as her way of bluffing someone to look innocent. Bluffing Garruth with innocence but she doesn't do as well as normal because she is watching out for dangers at the same time and not taking as much care to bluffing as she normally would. The blonde humanoid is too concerned with what she should be dealing with in the first place so she gives up the innocent act and watches for dangers instead. Perception:
Garruth's question startles Jaykae and she looks up at him with wide, confused eyes trying to understand his reaction then bobs her head down while tilting her cheek to her shoulder with a shy smirk on her face, "I'm used to attention with my sister ... did you want a cheek rub too?"
Jaykae smiles as she hears the exchange between Ruika and the pugwampi and pats the creature's shoulder, "I wish I could talk to him too. I can only understand the language with a spell."
Jaykae walks over to her sister and rubs her cheek against hers. Even without being in her true form as well the touch of Keiko's cheek fur is comforting. She keeps her face beside Keiko's as the others go about the clean up business then looks back when Ruika asks about rope. The twin nods as she takes out some rope and goes over to the pugwampi with it to tie it up. She puts her hands out to show it she wants to tie it up then does so if it responds accordingly.
The combat summary is good and bolding whoever is next would help a great deal. I get confused easily so even when it was my turn I wasn't sure it was my turn because I had to remind myself that it was who just went that was bolded. I try to check every post to few posts but that doesn't always happen but I do try.
As Cornellius goes after the first pugwampi Jaykae screams, "No! Not that one! He's just scared!" She tries to get between the warrior and the scared pugwampi.
Jaykae is unsure of what to do when she notices the one pugwampi hiding in a corner with it's little dagger and wonders why the creature would be doing this. She thinks about it in wonder to try to come up with an answer as to what it's intentions are. Sense Motive on pugwampi with the knife: She has no clue what is going on with that one but turns to the other one in the room as his intentions are clear. Bow shot at pugwampi 2: (-1 for str, +1 for extra from song)
Jaykae sniffs about not being able to hit the pugwampi but then decides to try again. They always say try, try again but sometimes going too far was also too much, just like a tune that does not stop until you want to yell at the artist that they are too full of themselves. She takes aim, carefully eyeing up her opponent and lets loose once more. Shoot at Pugwampi 3

Jaykae aims her bow at pugwampi three and lets loose. Attack on Pugwampi 3: The musician misses but aims once more.
With the arrival of the apes Jaykae decides that these things are not going to react the way she wants to fascination singing so she puts her flute away and takes out her shortbow, aiming towards the closest ape to Ruika.
Jaykae continues her fascination music but includes a bit of singing with it, "The puggy wuggies are calling apes. Some kind of apes. They likely are much much bigger than grapes. The little ones now wants to escapes with help from some apes." She then goes back to the fluting only.
Jaykae walks to BP-14 while playing her flute, calmly watching her step as she creates a fascinating tune that mimics the pugwampies' language in tone. She lets the music speak for itself and tries to put intrigue into the music.
While everyone else works on attacking the puggy wuggies Jaykae takes a different approach to the infiltration of the holy ground. She decides to cast Comprehend Languages so that she will know what the little creatures are up to so they can easily follow what they are saying.
Jaykae is surprised that her sister has shifted amongst their traveling companions but tries not to show it as she continues to play the song she has chosen to boost everyone's courage. Initiative:
Jaykae takes out her flute and watches as the others set up to go into the building. Her eyes half close as she waits for the others to go inside at which time she takes up the rear at BN-17 to watch behind and the front while playing her flute to inspire courage.
"That is a good point, Kei!" Jaykae states then steps back so that Corneilious can be another protective body between herself and danger in the front. She looks to Ruika and smiles at her statement then glance at the cat man finding it rather amusing and somewhat embarrassing as well.
Jaykae follows Alik as she had not been fast enough to be behind Ruika but that made it easier for them to be a bit better situated for how she and her twin did things. She tried to keep her attention on what they were doing and watched the dark areas in particular. Perception:

Jaykae wakes up dazed and with a small headache. She splashes some water from a canteen into her face and on her head then wipes it off her face and shakes her head like Lyssa would, droplets flying all over and her hair sticking up on end just the same as the little fox's. She gets her items bundled up easily and nudges Keiko, "We have to get going, Kei." The twin knows her sister would be just as fast as her and was probably just reveling in the morning aura. As they go along on the trek she is mostly quiet, saying a few things here and there and playing her flute at times. They are disjointed ditties but somewhere she was putting it all together in her mind. Then they get to the building and she whistles, "There's going to be a lot of hiding places in there." She looks to her sister, "We're going to have to be extra careful."
The hug is comforting and warm, the rub on her back helping to assuage the hiccups and suddenly makes the little bard's eyes droop. Not being used to drinking so fast the twin yawns and falls asleep, not even hearing the cat's request to share his bedroll.
Jaykae stares at Ruika for a few moments as Garruth hugs the other woman and hiccups a few more times during this then snorts, "Well, a leas *hiccup* does meanie heads can't *hiccup* hurt any'un ewlse an' yer bedda wif us cause we likes ya *hiccuppp*."
"Your elders are *hiccup* cruel, cruel, *hiccup* meanie heads..." Jaykae states as she leans against Garruth still.
The twin looks at her drink then at the others and wonders about this idea of drinking contests. Is she capable of this form of thing or not? She does not know if she can out drink a fly let alone those who seem to have been on the road and out adventuring much more than she and Keiko have. Her eyes flicker from person to person to see what is going on and decide upon what she should do. Jaykae sips at the brew which had been given to her and considers how to go about this. Should she or should she not? What the heck! This could only be a way to bond with the others and maybe the experience will give her insight which she could put to a tune. The mug shifts to her lips once again, she takes a deep breath, lets it out then chugs the mug of ale. Con check Once she drinks the ale she smiles cheerfully while wavering back and forth. Her eyes close then hiccuping starts, making her sound almost like little Lyssa whenever the sound emerges. She puts a hand over her mouth but cannot stop the hiccuping and woozy feeling that makes her want to fall over.
Jaykae takes her stew and ale and tenderly accepts some salt to be added directly to her stew. She then settles in and listens to the others while eating slowly, thinking in terms of musical tones and how it would affect her music if she and her sister used ideas from this supper. Maybe it could be included into a larger scaled piece.
Jaykae chuckles and lets Garruth put his arm around her as well, enjoying the flirting even if she wouldn't normally do this with anyone else but the catman was fluffy and a lot of fun so why not? She makes a witty sound with her flute then puts it back in it's holder and laughs, "Nothing." She agrees with Garruth and starts off with him and her sister in search of the mighty food. |
