Background:

Jarvis never knew his father and his mother rarely spoke of him. For as long as he can remember, it was always just his mother, Valarie Andover, and himself. His mother worked hard to provide them with food and shelter. When he was able, Jarvis began work helping merchants tend to their horses and guide their carts. When Jarvis was fifteen, his mother fell deathly ill. It was on her deathbed that she handed Jarvis the locket she always wore. She began to tell Jarvis that the locket was a gift from his father. She mentioned that he was of the Rogarvia family, but in her weakened state, she passed away before she could tell him anything more.

At first, Jarvis tried to find out more about his father, but any time that he mentioned that he was of the Rogarvia family, he was either laughed at or beaten. Many around his hometown began to dislike him for his "lies" and stubbornness, so Jarvis left Brevoy in search of a new place to call home. Eventually, Jarvis found his way to Lastwall. Being broke and without a home, Jarvis signed up to be part of the Lastwall Calvalry. Having been around the horses and ponies of merchants, Jarvis had some background, but had to work hard to match the the skills of others. When the time came, Jarvis completed his training and was just working on preliminary patrols, when another from Brevoy noticed him. The other Brevic exile was jealous of the skills and hardworking nature of Jarvis, and began telling other members of the Lastwall Calvary that Jarvis was a liar and claimed to be of noble birth. Fearing that Lastwall was no safer than Brevoy, Jarvis left Lastwall and took up the life of a mercenary.

Edicts: The cavalier must show courage in the face of danger, mercy to those who have wronged him, and charity to the poor and the meek. He must be just and honorable at all times and in all things. He must defend his honor and, above all else, the honor of those he serves.

Valmier:
Valmier is Jarvis's current steed, given to him as a rider of Last Wall before he left service.
