Unit 2

After a few minutes of looking around, James gets disgusted with the opulence, false as it is, of the cabin he is in and head's outside for a breath of fresh air to clear his head.

Not going to bother rolling perception to spot Janus, but this is your chance.

Would it be feasible in this situation to take 20?

James nods. "Alright. I'll be back in a minute." James walks forward, and unless he is stopped, walks up the gangplank and head's for the Captain's quarters.

Unusually honest for a group like this. James' thinks as he head's aboard.

Unit 2

James nods in agreement with the Captain. "Don't worry Captain, this won't take long. We'll soon be out from underfoot, and you'll be back to taking your nap." At Wynnie's question, James pauses for a moment. "Well, we will need the copy of the cargo manifest that the Captain is supposed to have. So, unless the Captain has it on his person, we will need to head up to the Captain's Cabin. Captain?" James relaxes his grip on his flail, but doesn't put it away yet.

Posted. Let's see if my intimidation did anything. XP

Unit 2

Stepping forward, James grins, quite creepily in-fact. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Captain. You fight the guard, we have to take you in. And we will take you in, unconscious...where you can serve your time. We'd have to sell your ship as well."

Intimidate Check: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

Trying to intimidate him into letting us just check his boat, and avoid the fight.

Hrm...I wonder where the rest of Unit 2 went to?

James frowns at the sight of the Hobgoblin. This just keeps getting better and better... James keeps his hand on his Flail, just in case things go awry.

Unit 2

Sounds like a plan. James smiles as he pulls out his flail and puts his shield back on. Shall we? James's smile changes into his intimidating who-are-you-to-mess-with-the-Watch face, and gets ready to follow behind Brenog.

Unit 2

"Understood. See you at the ship." James nods once, finishing the checks on the last of his straps and joins the others as they head toward the ship.

Gotcha. It wouldn't take that long to lock up the shop...we shouldn't be gone for more than a few hours dealing with the ship, so as disgusting as it is for me as a player...the body can wait.

Unit 2

To the ship then!

"Let's get to the ship before they have a chance to leave port." James nods, buckling in his flail and getting ready to run alongside the horses.

Uh, fair question. What are we supposed to do? Alert the captain and continue about? Lock up his shop till we can send over next of kin?

James raises an eyebrow, taking a look at the horses. Maybe he is referencing the horses? They look well trained. James ignores the righteous fury, but instead looks up and down the street, to see if we have gathered any sort of unusual attention.

James will, despite the full plate, keep up with the Mounted Janus and Wynnie, keeping a good hustle going. "What tactics do you guys tend towards? And what is the expected opposition?

Endurance and Paladin Saving throws means the you don't get winded, the world runs out of air. XP

James nods once at the Captain as he finishes his orders. James turns toward Wynnie and Janus. You guys can brief me on the tactics you use on the way. I'll follow your lead."

James waits for the Captain to introduce him, not wanting to over-step his bounds.

I know its been a while, but who exactly is in Unit 2?

James follows in behind the captain, staying behind the captain and to his right. He looks over the group, seeing who the members of the unit will be for the first time.

Interesting... James thinks to himself.

This is me chiming in, saying I am still here, just waiting on answer for my question.

James nods, taking his badge and sliding it into a pouch, taking care to snap it shut and secure it. "Are the other members of Unit Two back from patrol, or should I head out and meet them? And if so, where were they scheduled to patrol?"

"James Brightblood, reporting for duty." James stands, well, it looks like military attention but isn't quite there.

James raises an eyebrow as he enters the guardhouse. "Surely such measures are not necessary...I may be able to assist in getting information from him once I report in to the Captain."

Understood.

[Edit] Quick question though...have we met with the captain yet and been told with what unit we have been assigned to? Or have we just been guided to the Guardhouse?
