Looking stoic with his arms down and his hands clasped together in front of him, the brawler keeps an eye on the place and the many people before him. Jalros knows he has to keep an ever watchful eye out on this night. Because on this night he knows trouble will most assuredly pop up.
An older gentleman then makes his way towards him, leaning in so as to be heard. "Be ready, Jalros, you know how things get on a night like this!" he practically yells so as to be heard.
Keeping his eyes roving, "Yes, sir, I do, boss. I'm guessing they are about to come out?"
"Those barbarians?! That cursed bunch or whatever they are?! Trouble that bunch is! I don't see why I keep letting them in here! And yes, they should be out shortly!"
Looking over at his boss with a raised eyebrow before returning to scanning the place, "They're called 'The Accursed', sir. And it's not so much them I'm concerned about. It's their fans that cause the most problems. And you keep letting them play here, sir, because they increase your profits tenfold," he explains as if he's had to explain this a hundred times before. "There's a reason you opened this bar so near the college and this would be it. Brilliant move, sir," he compliments as if he's had to compliment him a hundred times before.
A light dawn's on the man's face as if he just now realized this. "Oh, well, excellent, Jalros! Carry on then! When business is good, everybody wins you know!" he says cheerily, taking his leave.
Still scanning for trouble as the bossman walks away, "Those are the rumors, sir," he states robotically to himself.
Jalros has lived in Bard's Gate his whole life. He didn't grow up with much. His father was military and they made do with what they had. Once his father retired, he and his mother moved to the country to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city and the cost of living.
With his father gone most of the time growing up due to the military life, Jalros learned to fend for himself. When he was younger, his father always use to tell him, "Jalros, when life kicks you in the gut and you fall - and you WILL fall - the only thing you can do is get back up and keep going. You take those punches and you keep going, you hear? It's not about how hard YOU can hit, but it's about how hard you GET hit and how you respond to it. This world don't take no prisoners, Jalros. It's a daily battle that you are going to have to keep fighting until your time is up."
Jalros has always kept those words close to the vest, not realizing it at the time - but realizing it later in life - how true they really are.
Jalros is about 6'2 and 230lbs. Chiseled features to be sure. Medium length brown hair and blue eyes.
