Physical Description:
Jaken is a few inches shy of six feet with short cropped dark brown hair. His face is tanned and he has a weatherbeaten look to him. The large amount of equipment he carries stowed on his back belies his fluid grace, and the jokes and flippancy he shows barely covers up his keen intellect. He smiles and jokes much, but there is a hardness in his eyes that never quite seems to disappear.

Jaken Doone was born in Magnimar to parents of Chelaxian descent. His love of history, old things, and treasure was instilled into him by his father, who was a contemporary of the noted Pathfinder Eando Kline. When his parents were falsely imprisoned in the Hells for fraud that they didn't commit, and subsequently disappeared from their cells with no explanation, he was stonewalled when he tried to find answers. For several years he made his way through the underbelly of the city, but never caught more than snatches of rumors regarding his parents' true fate.
Having no ties anymore to Magnimar, he decided to honor his father's memory by heading to the far south in search of the treasure, glory, and most importantly the history that his father so loved.
