Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Sorry to see this go. However between players dropping and the general posting rate, it is probably best.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Not having other spells which she believes will be useful, Jaidoh pulls a small wand from her pocket and points it at the wolfman. A second later, a small lance light shoots forth striking the vile creature without err.

Use Wand of MM.

Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I like those saves, better than the high rolls most bad guys seem to get when I try spells on them.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Bah, thanks Rabe, I typed the following, but must have somehow cut it out of my post.

Jaidoh was supposed to post wrote:

Did you ever make the DC16 Fort save versus the Ray of Enfeeblement that was cast last round? The werewolf should be at -4 Strength, -2 with a save.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Hoping to end this sooner or later, Jaidoh makes sure that the ball of flames is over the wolfman and then begins to cast a spell the increase Rabe's size and strength.

Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2) = 8 <-- DC16 Reflex for no damage

Cast Enlarge Person on Rabe, will take effect at the beginning of next round.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Seeing the beast fall, Jaidoh moves the ball of flames on top of it, and then begins casting again.

She the speaks arcane words and a black ray shoots forth striking the creature and appearing to literally suck the strength out of him.

Attack-ray-ranged touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20

Strength Penalty: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 for 4 rounds, Fort DC16 for 1/2 (2 points)

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Would have preferred the 6 you rolled the first time. Oh well, so much for a near perfect damage roll.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

The wolf needed to make a DC16 save first to avoid the flaming sphere - which should have been that nice 6 you rolled.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh sighs: I really don't like wolves. Too much like the shadow monstrosities of Nidal.

With that, she raises her hands and calls on her shadow magic. However, instead of shadows, a bright ball of fire suddenly appears above the wolf, instantly dropping on its head.

Cast Flaming Sphere
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) = 17 <--DC16 Reflex negates

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh quietly watches from the middle of the group unsure of what to expect.
I trust neither the spy nor the mayor. But, this elvish genocide must be stopped.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh does not do unsavory things, like become involved in anything that might be considered education.

Jaidoh looks back at the man, uncertain why he looked at her so peculiarly. Nonetheless, she slinks farther back into to shadowy corner of the room and continues to watch the rest of the group.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

From the shadows on the side of the room, a quiet, but beautiful voice speaks forth:
An axe and bite marks? Are there not those amongst the woodsmen who fight with beasts? Perchance the dog and the man fought together. Is it not rangers who select certain types upon which to focus their combat skills? If so, then this might be one rogue ranger, or one ranger with either a hatred for elves, or who is being paid by another.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Being ever wary of outsiders, after years of prosecution in Nidal, Jaidoh moves into the shadows and watches the interchange between Rabe and the new people.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh nods:
Yes, we will stop by the mayor's office to see what he has of interest.

She then turns to the large barbarian.
I thought Nidal had problems. This strange city seems to have just as many, only they are harder to perceive from afar.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Sorry, I am really lost as to what is going on at this point. If you have a good arcane caster in the recruitment, I would not mind stepping back. If the pace is going to pick up and we are going to have more cohesion, then I am good with continuing.

From the shadows, Jaidoh follows the others, uncertain as to what is to be expected next.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh listens as Irthir describes the happenings.
This is very concerning. Rare is the dark elf who has good intents in its heart. If this paladin is following her and covered in scars, then, I imagine, it is not the paladin at all. Perhaps it is his body, but not his mind. Perhaps it is no longer him at all. Or, perhaps this dark elf is good. Although I rather doubt this last option.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I may or may not be here. It is ambiguous questions like this that I really find hard to answer. I mean, what is "here", and how am I to know that I am "I". I mean really, I might not be me, which would mean that I am not me. Very confusion to say the least.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Its your call. If you can get the pace back up, then I am all for the campaign. If it going to keep being slow and inconsistent, both from you and the players, then I have a tough time getting into the character and the game.

If closing this one down allows you to focus on other games and/or RL, then perhaps it is time to shut this down. If you want to run smaller campaigns - 2-3 levels, sort of like a PF module or PFS scenario, that might be easier as you will know that it has an end. If that works, you can always run the characters through another campaign so that rather than a grand campaign, it is a bunch of interconnected segments, that might be a good option.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

You can almost see steam coming out of Jaidoh's ears. It is all she can do to not attack the horrid creatures as they leave.

Once they are gone.
I am not a mercenary. I do not know what these creatures are, but to all someone who subjugates the will of others to live is an abomination. If you continue to bow to evil like this, then I may not be able to restrain myself next time.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh growls from the shadows:
While the family's acts may be horrible, her admission of sacrificing her own kind to lure the father in is unforgivable.

The father has answered for his transgressions with his blood, the daughter owes no penance. This monster, on the other hand, shall answer for those she has harmed, and what she has done.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh grits her teeth holding back her revulsion at what appears to be slavery and all other sorts of evil being done. She is unsure what Jerry's plan might be, but resists the urge to use magic on the woman immediately.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I am always here. Just a little lost on what is going on due to the slow pace.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh continues to watch the events trying to stay out of the way of the big men and keeps to the shadows where she will not be seen.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Round 4
Seeing that the men have these strange creatures fairly well in hand, Jaidoh delays in case anything else malevolent appears.

Action: Delay

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Seeing the creature down, but not out, Jaidoh points a long white finger at the creature and speaks arcane words. A second later, a black beam shoots from her hand.

Attack-Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

The beam strikes (most likely) the creature draining it of energy.

Strength reduction: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 - DC15 Fort reduces by 1/2 to reduction of 3. Strength damage lasts 4 rounds.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Congrats on the new job. I am still around and most others are as well I think.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I am always around, but have really gotten lost on things with the inconsistent pace.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh moves over and directs the ball of flame toward another lizard fish creature.

Move to O10.

Move flaming orb to L8.

Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3) = 10 - DC16 Reflex negates

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh, being too far away for many of her spells, steps forward slightly and calls on one of her newer abilities. A moment later, a ball of flame bursts forth scorching the one of the enemies (hopefully).

5-foot step to O8 (or O7 if I cannot stand where the table is)

Cast Flaming Sphere @ the dog (K9).
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) = 8 - DC16 Reflex negates

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh nods in agreement:
Together we are strong. Divided we likely will fail. Lets try the north door first. Stop whoever is harming the women. Be careful though. There are many creatures in this world that might sound like a woman in pain, but actually be something far worse trying to lure unprepared saviors.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Jaidoh moves up quietly behind the others:
I saw too much slavery and control in Nidal. We need to end this, but must determine what we are dealing with first. This is not a language that I have ever head before.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh sighs:
I really do not like fish. They smell real bad, and taste worse.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

HP: 2d6 ⇒ (4, 5) = 9

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

From the shadows in the back of the room, Jaidoh nods in agreement with her companions.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh glares at the man and then shakes her head in disgust:
Let him run, I would love to see him outrun my magic or your sword. It would be so much easier than filling out the paperwork.

Bluff/Intimidate: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18 <-- both are +8, figure this is sort of both

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Yeh, it was before me, but as I recall it was all about loot splitting. Everyone agreed that it would be an equal split and that if you went into the hole (8k for a +2 sword for instance), then you would simply pay it back later by taking less in the next treasure. I could not believe how adamantly against this they were, it was to the level of just being bizarre.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Yeh, I really liked Swaney. He and Ganit, the guy who just left, made for great role playing. Both played great lawful characters, but with completely different views of lawful.

James, our cavalier, and I joined when the brothers left because of "creative differences" with the rest of the players.

An archer cleric would be good, although ranged clerics always seem very feat starved. Another lawful player would be good as Bron and Carina (me), the rulers of the land tend to be a little on the chaotic side of things. (I guess being a changeling with the orc bloodline might do that to a girl).

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Just so you know, I am also a sorcerer in the KM campaign. Unlike here where I attempt to be shadowy and hide a lot, there I am a changeling sorcerer(orc bloodline) and tend to be a bit of a hothead.

As far as the druid goes, think of all the movies you know that have a grumpy old man living in a shack in the woods somewhere and yelling and complaining about the encroachment of civilization - that is pretty much our druid.

It is actually a great campaign, I have been in it for about 2 years. We could use another skill/archery type player or someone with divine powers. Really the thing that we have well covered is the arcane, and the druid is more a caster than a combat oriented player.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

We have all been level 2, we are double leveling to get from the intro to the real adventure I think.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh looks to the others:
So, do we return to Irthir now? Or is there something else that we should do?

She also looks at the money, her head swimming as she has never seen one tenth of that amount of wealth in once place before.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Unsure of what their next step is, Jaidoh slides back into the shadows and watches and listens to the others from there where she is most comfortable.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

The Feral Child druid archetype is also illiterate.

Jaidoh moves over to see what Rabe found and looks at the map.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Personally, I think that perception is a skill that should not allow Take-20. Just my opinion though.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
--> searching for anything hidden, unfortunately Jaidoh is having trouble finding the actual door, let alone and secret doors

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh looks at the wands:
I can use these if nobody else can.

How many charges? What CL?

Are there any doors? Or are those all wine racks?

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

Jaidoh looks nervously about:
Should we search any more. Perhaps this is but the tip of the iceberg?

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I'm here. I am always here.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

If only the Ettercap is left, then Jaidoh will go total Defense and 5' step away from the Ettercap hoping that one of the fighters can take it down.

Female Fetchling Sorcerer - Shadow(Umbral) Bloodline/2 - HP 27/27; AC15, T11, FF14; F+3;R+4;W+5; Per +1; Int +6

I don't think that it eats posts. I think that most of the time for me, it is simply that I hit preview and then forget to hit the 'Submit Post' .
