Jacquelyn had not hidden the fact that her time in the bilge was the worst five minutes of her time on the ship to date, so on the morning of day 17, she finds herself assigned there. As such, she spends the whole day submerged past her ankles in stagnant water, sick to her stomach. She is also not very good at the job, so Plugg has ample opportunities to yell at her for any number of issues, few of them imagined. After one such chewing out, she will turn a face that is more green than blue towards Plugg. "I'm pretty sure this Besmara cursed water is killing me slowly. You wanna just let it do the work and save your yelling for someone else?" Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 13 Using this as my one action to try and get Plugg to let up. That evening, Jacquelyn barely touches her food, looking almost literally green around the gills. She forces herself to eat a bit, but mostly just stares at the open ocean. "Well that sucked."

I knew this would be a bad idea! Worth it though. Recognizing it would only make things worse to talk back, she bites her tongue and sets to repeating the exercise as instructed. Fort Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 She makes it to the evening meal feeling tired and well worked, but her body withstood the strain better than she thought it would. She gratefully takes the extra rations with a genuine smile towards Kroop. "Its appreciated. I think she's just mad my way was smarter." she says with a wink. Jacquelyn will stay up for a bit and chat with the crew, so if anyone wants to involve her in something they are welcome to. But she will tuck in a bit early and rest after her grueling day.

The undine swiftly swims under the ship, surfacing on the far side of the hull, and prepares to climb up behind Krine and her lackeys. Ship seems to be 30 ft wide, I was 20ft away, and then 10 ft for the swim back to the surface. So 20+30+10 = 60, exactly a double move. Unfortunately nothing left to start climbing, so hopefully that doesn't bite me in the ass.

Jacquelyn shouts a few choice curses and throws in a rude gesture for good measure at the laughing crew mates. "Wanna jump in the water with me and see who has the edge there!?" Wanna be clear this isn't an attempt at intimidating (which she sucks at) but rather the type of jib that would be good natured if it wasn't clear that she actually is not a fan of these people yelling at her. Regardless of her comments, she does try and throw the hook again. Grappling hook throw: 1d20 + 1 + 2 - 6 ⇒ (5) + 1 + 2 - 6 = 2 However it again falls short. With another curse, she drops the end of the rope she is holding in the boat and dives gracefully in the water. Gonna swim 10 ft down and 20 ft towards the ship, which is one move and all I can do. Is this a bad idea? Tune in next turn to find out!

Sitting in the jolly boat, Jaquelyn looks at her grappling hook, then down at herself. I feel like someone has wildly misestimated my skills if they think this is how to best use me. Out loud, she muses. "I wonder how mad they would be if I just swam under the boat and climbed up the other side?" Despite her grumblings, she does toss the hook towards the railing. Hook Toss: 1d20 + 1 + 2 - 6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 2 - 6 = 0 Unfortunately her misgivings proved true, and she fails to hook the rail. She reels in the hook and prepares for another throw. Is the one move action I have remaining enough to reel the hook back in? Either way its the end of my turn.

Once back on the ship, Jacquelyn quickly resumes her post. Harrington being happy now doesn't mean he won't lash her later, and she doesn't really want the ship running aground. That night, she watches Leralesti's display with open fascination. "Now that don't sell it short, that is a very cool trick! I knew a guy back home who could so something similar with fire, but I'd much rather have you on a ship with me than him!" she chuckles. "Glad to have you aboard Lesti!"

Jaquelyn, deciding that there is nothing of immediate danger, will climb down the outer rigging, diving off once she is far enough down to safely do so. No matter how hard she tries, her limits quickly approach and she doesn't even notice the deck rushing towards her, deeply unconscious before her body smacks the deck. I'm a bit of the hero of the hour right now, between warning everyone about the storm and jumping overboard to save a crewmate. Jaquelyn is visibly enjoying the rain, in defiance of the common mood. She seems practically refreshed. However, after casting her spell, she grows more concerned. She quickly warns her party and their allies, and encourages them to spread the word. Jaquelyn, realizing she had been focusing on the ill thoughts of their imprisonment, forces a smile after Ramada's comment. She looks over the crew being merry, choosing for the moment to ignore those laughing at Owlbear. This is nice. Mostly. Her grin turns genuine as she looks to Ramada. With Aamu standing in front of Plugg, and the cowering Owlbear, Jaquelyn will cautiously approach, hands outstretched, one eye wearily on Plugg. She will kick the club away from Owlbear towards the party if she can manage it and kneel next to him. In a quiet voice, she will say: "You did good Owlbear. Can you stand? "Unfortunately I agree with you." Jacquelyn sighs and leans over the edge of the crows nest. "In a perfect world, there are only three people who need off the ship, Harrigan, Plugg, and Scourge. But I doubt everyone in the crew will let those three go without a fight. Many will, but not all."
