About Jace "Bloody Jack" Kale

Little is known of Jace Kale other than how he got the name that some from his distant past better know him by. In those times and by only a select group of people, Jace Kale went by the name "Bloody Jack." It had long been rumored that he got his nickname while finishing an assignment to become an assassin in a secretive Thieves Guild and that he got carried away in a blood frenzy when killing his target. The truth of the matter is far worse and only known by an even smaller few that ever knew of his nickname.

He was on an assassination mission for a secretive guild of Thieves and Assassins, that much is true. Where the truth was changed was in the reasoning for his nickname. His target was not killed in a bloody frenzy of hacks and slashes, in fact he was killed quietly and effortlessly. His target was supposed to be alone but just as Jace delivered the deadly blow to his mark, a young woman of the streets appeared in the bedroom doorway.

Stunned by the scene, the woman tried to cry out for help but Jace was too fast and was already calmly pulling his dagger from her throat. The sheer carnal nature of the act brought back a rush of near instinctive desires that Jace had long suppressed. You see, Jace was born of the unholy union of his human mother and Vampire father. Though he was of living flesh and did not require blood to satiate a "hunger" to keep him alive he was still cursed with the desire for it.

Because of this carnal thirst, Jace lost himself for a moment and drank furiously of the young woman's life blood. As he regained himself, a dark figure came from the shadows of the room. It was his mentor, the very person who had sent him on this assignment. He was there to make sure it was completed one way or another and was the only witness to Jace Kale becoming Bloody Jack. In that moment Jace's mentor gave him the nickname Bloody Jack and soon many from the guild began to call him by that name.

A while after the incident, Jace left the guild and only real family he had ever known. Whether it was of his own accord or not none have ever said. He left with a few supplies and a parting gift from his former mentor. A set of shadowy Kukri that were so dark that the very light around them seemed to be eaten up and a Blackened Mithril shirt that is easily worn under everyday clothing. Both were given to his mentor upon being accepted into the ranks of Assassins and now given to Jace as a symbol of honorary acceptance.

It has been a long time since his departure from the guild and now a new chapter in his life begins as Jace finds himself in a somewhat familiar land with somewhat familiar company, grasping at shadowed memories of what seem like many lives lived from ages long past and a tattoo on his chest that has Jace wondering a great many things. A tattoo that simply says Bloody Jack...
