Ivan is a relatively young man who came to the town of porter to supposedly escape his past. Several years ago he managed to gain a position as a member of the postal delivery service.
He's very frank and to the point most days, but isn't overly unfriendly. It's easy to tell he isn't local from his fairly thick accent, but the time he's spent working as a mail-man has endeared him somewhat to nearly everyone in town, at least in so much as a familiar face can be. Rumors say that he has something akin to either an eidetic or possibly photographic memory but no one can really tell one way or the other.
Ivan doesn't usually like to talk about it, but sometimes when he has had a bit too much to drink at the local bar after work he speaks of his time in the military.
