Hello all! :)

I've been wondering: may I run special scenarios alone with my group? The kinds that have an Overseer GM (for example, Year of the Shadow Lodge). If I can do so, are there any special rules?

Thanks ahead,
Itaimar.

Hello all! :)

I've encountered "Ambush In Abshalom", which is a quest and not a regular scenario. May I run them? Are there any special rules regarding quests? What's the difference?

Thanks ahead,
Itaimar.

Hello all! :)

Last night we played "The Midnight Mauler" and the boss fight ended with a TPK. 2 players want to use their prestige points to cast raise dead on themselves, while another one doesn't have enough PP to do so (and the 4th member is depended on this thread). So basically, I have 3 questions:

1) The party failed their main and secondary objective. Should they get and XP or Loot from this scenario? Should they get the chance to roll a day work check? What should I write in their chronicle sheet in the GM notes?

2) The party died in a city which in the epilogue sort of turns against the Pathfinders. Do they need to pay for their corpse to be returned by a rescue team? (making the whole resurrection cost 21 PP).

3) When you use your fame to buy something from your faction does it bend the regular rules of purchasing items? Can they buy magical gear, for example?

Thanks ahead,
Itaimar.

Hello all! :)

I'm playing home games with my group and my plan to introduce them PFS went beyond any measure of success I have predicted. I was sure that they'll like it, but one will be enough. Instead, we actually play one scenario every week, and they just leveled up today to level 2! :O

So, I have encountered some thing I'd like to ask about.

1) I can see many times "if they do X, add/subtract Y gold from their total gold of this scenario". On the other hand, at the end of the scenario there is already a determined gold amount. Is that amount is the base, and I add and subtract from this?

2) Every time one of my group members gets a decease that sticks to the next scenario the party cleric takes his time in healing them between scenarios, actually healing them from the disease. Is this legal? If so, what's the point in the disease?

3) I know the loot you get disappears and you have to buy a new one, but does this include masterwork and basic items? One of my players got a dwarven battleaxe, and it's not in the chronicle sheet. So he keeps it, right? And can he sell it?

4) Is there any restriction to play the early seasons if I exclude the retired scenarios? (seasons 0, 1, 2). Also, is there a time limit? I know 3-5 hours is in the convention, but in our home group we can play a lot longer. Is this forbidden?

5) A bit of a selfish question :D. We finished 3 scenarios, so I'm supposed to get my first star, right? Or do I get stars only when I GM at conventions?

Sorry I'm so tiresome... :)

Thanks ahead,
Itaimar.

Hello all!

I'm a new GM and I've read the Guild Guide, but it is still not clear to me. I've searched google to find no answer.

If I'm running an official Pathfinder Society adventurer (or one of the sanctioned modules/adventurer) in Golarion, with all the official rules and characters built to play in any other Pathfinder Society games, will I get credit as a GM?

TL;DR - Does a GM get credit for home games within Golarion, using the approved scenarios/modules?

Also, I understood my players will get everything - XP, gold and chronicle sheet items. Am I right?

Sorry I have so much questions. If it's not the right place to post it I'm sorry, just seems like other questions regarding those subjects were posted here.

Thanks ahead! :)
