Twice a day poster here with several years on Paizo PbP. I've wanted to play CC for quite some time. May I present Issan for your consideration?

Background:

A tall tonsured Garundi dressed in the black robes of Pharasma, Issan’s destiny as a priest of the Goddess of Fate was set with his first breath. His mother nearly died in childbirth due to a lack of competent priests in his small village in the wastes of northwestern Osirion. Concerned at the quality of the few priests in the area, his parents bravely gave up their youngest son to the goddess and the child was taken up by a small Pharasmin nunnery near Shiman-Sekh.

A favored child of the temple, Issan was instructed in healing and death rituals. He looked forward to a quiet life as a cloistered priest and healer at the temple until one of his wards succumbed to a virulent strain of ghoul fever and he barely escaped with his life. Many of the beloved sisters of the temple were not so lucky.

Bereaved at the loss of those he had considered his family. Issan wandered to Sothis where he met Professor Lorrimor, who interviewed the young priest about the tragedy. Issan soon came to see the professor as a mentor in learning more about the undead and how best to destroy them. It is with great sadness that Issan heard of the Professor's recent passing.

Issan wears the black robes of his faith and an antique silver edged skane of bone is displayed at his hip. The tall Garundi shaves his head daily and has a commanding presence though he rarely takes the forefront unless it is to eulogize the recently departed or confront the living dead.

you show up in the darnedest places Mr. Sweetman... and make me look like a noob with merely 6K posts.

I've been hoping for a CC game to open. May I introduce Issan, a Pharasmin priest and traveler from distant Osirion, come to pay his respects to the late professor.

will 6000+ posts work? ;)

Congratulations to those who made it! I have done a bit of online GMing myself so I know how hard it can be to pick players when you have so many submissions.

any interest in GMing CC? still plenty of good PCs loitering around here...

Dreamweaver:
Now I'm no rules lawyer BUT :P
Negative Energy Affinity: Dhampires are alive, but reacts to positive and negative energy as if it were undead— positive energy harms it, negative energy heals it. Sooo NO cure spell is your friend, but as Jarell and I were slipping notes about above- you can stock up on potions of inflict wounds or find some way to convert positive energy to negative which might make an interesting wondrous item if you can talk the GM into it.

Also, just wanted to say good luck to everyone, I really enjoyed some of your stories. I don't envy DM Hamied this decision; almost every class available has been submitted.

and just about every race (except the short people) which I think is pretty cool :)

yep, good luck all.

EDIT: whoops, just spotted the gnome, it's a small world after all.

Javell:
thanks for the suggestions. I'll look it up for curiosity's sake. I can't help thinking drinking an inflict light wounds potion would be like gargling acid. :)

Being the only real healer you might have a for sure spot in the game.

I'm not certain about anything as there are lots of great submissions here, but I built the character with CC in mind and would really love to get in.

Dreamweaver:
Speaking about healing- how does a dhampir's negative energy affinity work with you getting healed up? positive energy damages you like undead right? just wondering how that would work in game.

Given that there aren't a lot of healer submissions,

oy, chopped liver here. joking, but there are at least a sprinkling of oracles and witches around. i'm kinda surprised no other clerics. what's really lacking though are the tanks...

almathea:
btw I'm following along on your Seafarers campaign and enjoying it. I'm running a pirate campign based in Freeport (as Cap'n Voodoo) but we haven't quite shipped out yet. looking forward to it though.

Habibi, I am at your service if Fate shall allow it.

still here waiting and watching ; )

To clarify Issan's role in the party-
In combat he would be artillery and medic. definitely in the back where he can supply crossbow support with precise shot and more importantly lend a healing hand where needed. His dagger/skane is mostly for ceremonial purposes. He prefers to channel against undead foes.

Out of combat, he has a decent charisma and the Knowledge domain which allows access to all areas of knowledge so I can see him as an asset in negotiations and research as well.

Excellent. I've been very much wanting to run a Pharasmin Priest in this AP. He should fit in fine as long as there aren't any Necromancers in the party :P
I'm a reliable at least daily poster (GM one and play 2.5 games so not overloaded either).

Issan would take the Subject of Study (undead) Campaign Trait.

Issan has commenced an arduous journey across the Inner Sea and most of Avistan to attend his beloved mentor's funeral and plans to stay in Ustalav where he has heard priests of Pharasma are highly respected and much needed to ward off the lingering shadows.

Ack! You are correct sir! There should not be two APs allowed with "Carrion" in any part of them...I formally protest to the PTB in Paizo.

I agree! I believe James has already apologized for the overuse of Carrion. I think Harrow needs to be taken off the list of available words as well. : )

I've been lurking around the boards for a while, hoping to get into a Carrion Crown game because I like the desert/Arabian Nights feel.

Ah Habibi, perhaps you are thinking of Howl of the Carrion King which is part of the Legacy of Fire AP set in Katapesh. That's where the Genies be. Carrion Crown is set in the north in gothic-flavored Ustaslav.

Here's voodoo chili's submission.

GM Orlock:
ah martinaj, this should look familiar to you as it's a variation of Jaru. I really wish I hadn't tossed him into the Osirion campaign as my vision was for Carrion Crown. can't say I regret not getting into the other CC game though. seemed a little snooty :(
