I just sent you a message, I can go into more detail if you'd like, but I am unfortunately withdrawing myself from all of my PBP games so that my unexpected lack of time does not impact other people's enjoyment.
"I imagine we get ready to go to a ball..." Irene sighs and looks down at her ink-stained fingers and robes. "I've never done this sort of shopping before. Well, not that I can remember at least... Can someone point me to the right part of town?"
Irene sits with her back to the wall, so that she can face the door and Glifdore at the same time. "Do we know how long Lugen will take to get back with that, or is there anything we can do to help. I don't like just sitting around knowing that I've just lost two years of my life, especially with people that I no longer know," *muttering* "but presumably trusted at some point..." She shifts uncomfortably in her seat, thinking about all of the research that she had brought to this group at the start, that she no longer knows the location of, hoping that it hasn't ended up on a clarity pyre.
Irene: Irene will prepare her spells for the day and then head to Asmodeus Rest early. She'll attempt to scope out the area and find a place close enough to the Asmodeus Rest that she feels like she can has a good vantage point on who is entering and leaving. She will then settle in for the likely fruitless task of attempting to discern what she may have written in her book from dents and wear and tear. Given the nature of the erasing charm, she knows that this is likely a waste of time, but she is determined to at least try.
Ziera/Alden/Irene: Irene will hesitate, but at Ziera's comment about vulnerability, follow along to the Inn out of fear of being left alone in an emergency whose scope she cannot recall. "There is spellwork that will erase memories, but it typically only works on small amounts of time, never years. The length of the gap is the most concerning part to me. What's more, I've always taken to writing in this journal to help remember anything important," She gestures with her erasing book " but it seems that at some point I've not only had it enchanted with an erasing word, but then by golly, I've erased it. I've always been a little cautious, but to throw away years of notes like that. In an instant! It's appalling to think what may have caused such an emergency." [b]"Please tell me that one of you remembers something more tangible."[/b}
Ziera/Irene: Irene curses under her breath and chases off after Sydney with the rest, wracking her brain the whole time she's running to see what may be familiar as she passes. When they make it to the door, she pauses, opens her mouth to speak and closes it again. She sighs frustratedly and shifts her weight back and forth from her heels to the balls of her feet. "We lost her. I don't even know why I know her name, and we lost her. Should we go back for her? I didn't see anywhere she could have vanished along the route out."
Zeira/Irene: Irene nods and starts to pack. Her head is swimming as she wracks her mind for what may have happened. She grabs her erasing book and her journals to see what notes she would have left herself. Pages torn out of the journals, and the erasing book, well, erased. This is definitely something serious, and she decides that she doesn't have a lot of choice except to trust and move along, at least for the moment. Once she finishes donning her gear, she turns and follows him, as quietly as possible. She grimaces at Zeira and the others as they start to flee Lugen's position, hissing a whisper "Where do we go? I don't know this place!"
I for one am quite pleased that the semi-annual librarians conventions amounted to such a competent group of rabble rousers. |
