I don't mind waiting until you're in the mood to run a game and do signups.

I'm particularly interested in 1-6 because it's the only scenario I've not GM'd or played yet.

Let's be clear: I don't feel held hostage or any other negative feelings towards you Deneve!

It's been excellent getting to play pbp, and find a group to do multiple games with. I have discussed offline with Uncle and Bert about how much I've enjoyed these games.

So, where to from here:

I am perfectly fine to play *any* PFS scenario/quest, my main requirement is that you have an adventure you are enjoying the GM seat with.

Whether we start in a week, or a month, or a year. If you direct message me, I'll be rushing for a sign up slot in your next game!

So back to you: I'm ready, I can give another spiel about the content that I haven't got XP for yet.

When Bert continues and refers to his uncle, Inzo shudders. "Aw man, but he's such a hassle to have around. With all the cymbals falling off, to the songs I have to remember. Did you see how long he spoke to the band?"

Sighing, he picks up his shoulders and says "Alright, well if he starts talking about five-six-four-seven timing for his latest ballad you get to hear the merits of it."

Inzo runs off to go get uncle and pull him of over

"Uncle! Uncle! I didn't know you were here. I'm here with a co-worker" he turns back and looks at the stout lumberjack "Actually, a friend. We've just been given a job and I need you to help us with some Nidalese scrolls. I don't actually know what, don't read and all, but I saw you reading sheet music. I know you don't fear the words searing your brain. Could you help us? Just, no music this time."

"Hope you boys aren't squeemish. One of my agents has told that a scholar at the Collage of Mysteries has been working on potentially dangerous research. What kind of research has been kind of vague, which is truly vexing! All we know is that it's based on scrolls from Nidal. I wish to know what these scrolls are. Not the originals, though! Ancestors fend! They might be made of humanoid skin. No, no. Just the reproductions will do. So what say you? Up to the task?"

Realising that remaining clung to Bert's back, boisterous as it is, is not welcome at an event like this. Inzo had come to be a Pathfinder, and that means straightening the trunk as it were.

Sliding down Bert's back, Inzo reaches out a boney hand to Gorm. "My name is Inzo, and I keep Bert out of trouble. Pleased ta meetcha." Shaking his hand vigorously, he listens to this job.

"Ain't nothing squeamish about this pair. I tell you, we've seen our fair few sights. Couple o' lost fingers, foot with gangrene and the like. Workplace hazards they are, and we're ready." After a pause, Inzo's eyes glance around. "Wait, you are a pathfinder right? I just realised the mystery school could be something different. I'm here to be the best ya see."

I am in favour of as many gang members as we can rouse! I love playing with you lot. Coming out of lockdown has added a decent bit of chaos to my week that I didn't anticipate.

Weaving his way through the crowd, Inzo is wide eyed. It's one of the first times he's been in the grand ballroom, and imposter syndrome is in full swing.

Awkwardness turns to excitement however, when he spots his old co-worker in the crowd. Breaking into a run, sliding under a table, and leaping from a stray chair, Inzo grapples Bert from the back.

"Beeeeeert!" Inzo holds on tight no matter Bert's reaction. Being used to trees thrashing in the wind, Bert's movements are no problem. "No slugs, but the cakes are lovely."

Ahhhh I didn't know you were from Australia, there is a small chance we've been at a con together then :)

The quality of season 1 has been quite high, which I think makes a lot of the scenarios feel only "okay". Most of the scenarios I think have something really cool going on about them, from the theme, to a scene, to a mechanical encounter.

I think doing the "main story" of Season 1 which is:
1-00 Origin of the Open Road
1-08 Flames of Rebellion
1-16 Perennial 1
1-17 Perennial 2
1-20 Lost Legend

That would be my recommendation if you had limited time to see all the highs before s2

I've said that 1-01 I think is too camp to be a good adventure, but deneve I'm really interested to play with you at the helm because of what you've done to extrapolate the lore in all the games thus far.

Bring on this game! Did anyone have any great games during paizoCon online?

Inzo scratches his head. A lot has gone on in the last minute, with Orla retrieving the abyssal shard, and the other half acting all weird and saying strange things over with the monolith.

Now that everyone is re-united, there is mention of some kind of king. He turns to the leshy "Do you have a king? Does Iobaria have a king? Gossamer sounds pretty fancy."

Inzo is earnestly trying to find out if that's local royalty. He's not very religious, and not that well travelled so he won't know of who we're speaking of. They're a fav of mine OOC though :D

Inzo is well acquainted with sneaking around, but not the book-smart type to be able to execute the ritual. He's also not that strong so breaking the thing isn't that great.

Inzo watches closely at Orla's movements. He can see that she has a plan, but doesn't want to reveal that he's following along to give it away.

Casually, he positions himself and Amsu alongside Orla, so that if the deal goes south, she can be protected by the leopard.

Orla nailed the distraction so I'll refrain from rolling and reversing that until we progress a little

I think there is good justification for Orla to just be continuing down the line of taking the eye at an opportune moment.

I hope it goes well, and once it's under control you can come back and see what kind of craziness we've ended up with.

If you have a sheet link then we can play Gabros. If not we can reduce CP and just add him in for flavour.

I'm excited for this! It's not often that scenarios let you plan an approach from a few different options.

I expect it'll fall apart within 2 rounds, and that's also part of the fun ;)

Inzo's head is bobbing back and forth as he listens to the plans of all the longshanks. Planning was a skill taught to him later in life out of necessity. Without it, he'd done okay in the Frostfur tribes, but not when working with Bert in the Irriseni lumber camps.

"Amsu and I are best positioned getting to the corrupted stone, and then if chatting doesn't go down well we can enact plan 'B'. It'll be easy to tell on Bert's face how it's going. His emotions are written right on his face, and without half the beard I can see it plain as day."

"What do you think we have to do? If this kicks off, I can sneak over and nab it, but I'm no magician. I can try break it, but I'm not that strong. Mayhaps we gotta get Orla to unpick the runes? Or Bert do you wanna crack it in half? Might dull your axe, but I've seen you put enough force through a stone before."

Going to give a few others time to weigh in before we irreversibly start a war with these leshies

Inzo keeps Amsu close, and in case Amsu needs to check she gets

"Thank you, friend." Inzo shoots a warm smile towards Gabros, and long fingers grasp at the parchment and quill.

"Most of the time I just eat 'em with the feathers on, but I must admit, this quill does work quite well for scrawling abyssal nonsense."

With Gabros' gift, Inzo gets to work.

(You can sketch it, certainly. Do you have the tools to do so?

Looking at the Ranger's kit, it doesn't include any paper or charcoal so looks like no explicit items. If you want to prevent scrawling, that's fine.

"So uhhh, if there is an abyssal aura if you will affecting these plant spirits, there must be something that started it. This place gives me the heebie jeebies, trees don't act like this normally."

Inzo scratches his head

"I mean, normally they just stand still for the choppin', but even live ones, dryads and leshy and the like. Anyone spotted or heard anything that would flare this stuff up like a slug-rash?"

Can we take one of the smaller Menhirs, or at least Inzo will sketch it down to report back to the society/the druidic tribe if we go back there.

Occultism/Arcana (Untrained): 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15

..."Huh. I coulda sworn I heard about rocks from one o'the other Frostfurs. Now when I need it, it doesn't come to me." Inzo taps his skull, trying to knock the thoughts into place.

"Wait a mo Amsu! Food back here!"

Inzo is using his shuriken up close. He thinks it's mad cool, but provokes AoO if the centipede has it.

Inzo can help out by demonstrating his prowess with shuriken. For flavour sake he will throw a whole bunch of shuriken, but you can count one for the roll

"Always keen to show off the ol' Tien stars. Desna bless 'em, they are used by ninja, assassins of their Dragon empire. Pretty cool if you ask me. Plus, you get to throw a whole lot of them!"

Question Deneve: At what point will you call for more checks? Introduce more people?

Dispirited, the wolverine presents the cord to you, hopeful for a rousing game of tug-the-cord.

"Don't play with her or she'll follow you all over the camp wanting to play all night", Ceneviel says absentmindedly.

(You can help Ceneviel sort through the records with successful DC 16 Arcana, Nature, or Occultism checks or by playing with Berry-Eater and let him focus on his work. You can only make one check)

This is exactly what Inzo was looking for!

Inzo will carefully, and slowly introduce Amsu to the wolverine. If it looks like they'll happily play together, he'll play some tug of war and ball games with the two of them.

Acrobatics, throwing, chasing, bit of hiding from the wolverine and Amsu: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

Hearing the recommendation from Urwal, Inzo will take the time to get amongst the druids. He's looking to do any of the following:

* Entertain folk with his feats of acrobatics, by climbing trees, then doing acrobatics stunts off them
* Find the younger members, and keep them entertained by playing hide and seek with stealth
* If there are any fiddley problems, I could use Thievery to fix locks and the like, or entertain with sleight of hand tricks.

"Is THAT what that was. I just thought it's how plants talked to one another. Gotta admit, it did use a lot of back of tongue action. Do leshy have tongues?"

Inzo gets lost in thought.

Medicine: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16 | Heal: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 3) = 11

With needle and thread, Inzo patches himself up. For the burns, he gets out some of his famous ringtail slugs that he's been tending since they left Osirion. He rubs them over the burned bits.

"I have one for you Uncle!" He tosses one over.

"So tell me. You say that your trees walk around and talk? Leshy you call 'em? Back where we come from they're called Huldra, or a Wolf in sheep's clothing. Nasty buggers, gotta stay well away. Anyhow, I wanted to know. When did these Leshy start bugging you?"

"Mah thanks one again, Orla," he gives a nod to the halfling. "Desna must be gettin' sick o' hearin' about me in yer prayers. Oof it's that troublesome grumblepuss o' a dwarf again."
